Marinette: Defeated

"That's mine!" Lila snatched the Owl pendant from Kagami and hugged it close to her heart. "My grandmother gave it to me..."

Marinette was internally freaking out, currently speechless. Too many unanswered questions immediately appeared in her brain. Kagami knows I have the Parrot Miraculous... what do I do? And is that the Snowy Owl Miraculous? When did it get there? Is Lila Albibis?

"Well, Marinette?" Kim said, crossing his arms. "What do you have to say for yourself?"

"Lila, where did you get that?" Marinette asked dryly.

"I already told you, I got it from my grandma. She always gives my mother and I all sorts of fancy jewelry, like that Fox pendant and the silver ring you found."

"Marinette," Kagami said slowly, holding up the Parrot Miraculous. "Where did you get this?"

Marinette swallowed. She knew she should've gone home and hidden the parrot miraculous away safely. She never should have come!
"I uh, found it at a jewelry store too!" she stammered.

"Okay, but what are we gonna do about Marinette..." said Juleka.

"She's innocent, I'm telling you!" exclaimed Luka. "She would never attack anyone, or steal from anyone. Lila is to blame!"

Lila just cried harder as Marinette stood in silence, staring at Kagami, who stared back. Luka was arguing with everyone else on her behalf, but all she could think about at the moment was Kagami finding out who she was. What was she going to do? How would she convince her that she isn't Ladybug without making it seem so obvious?

"Alright, alright, stop!" Luka shouted over everyone, effectively putting the room to silence. "Band practice is over for tonight. I'm sorry it turned out this way guys, but Lila is not allowed back on our boat again."

"What?" Juleka scoffed. "You can't do that! Only mom can, it's her boat!"

"Well mom isn't here right now, so I'm in charge."

"That's so stupid! Lila didn't do anything wrong!"

"You aren't even the band leader!" Ivan added. "Rose is, she should be allowed to say who can watch and who can't."

"No, he's right," sulked Lila, standing up slowly. "All I do is bring problems wherever I go. I just wanted to have fun with my friends here, for once. I can't even swim, and I risked my life coming out into this ship... but it's fine..." She left the room, leaving everyone in an awkward tension of mixed expressions.

"Look what you've done!" Kim pointed at Luka. "You just made her feel worthless!"

"Lila is a liar who is just trying to frame Marinette!" Luka responded. "When has Mari ever done anything bad like that before, huh?"

Marinette ignored all the accusations going around, instead marching toward Kagami, grabbing her purse and the parrot bracelet, and storming out in silence, leaving Kagami in a state of frozen shock. Perhaps the best thing to do right now is act as if nothing abnormal happened.
But about Lila having the Snowy Owl pendant... she did have an exact replica of the Fox Miraculous for whatever reason, so it wouldn't be too far fetched for her to have one of the Owl too. Although it made her wonder how she got them.
Oh, whatever, she thought, marching out of the lounge. I don't want to think about anything. I just wanna go home and rest.

Outside, on the deck of the boat, Marinette met Lila, standing on the ship's edge.

"Oh, great," Marinette groaned. "Why are you still here? I thought you left!"
At this point she had no clue how to feel. She was sad and upset that all her friends turned on her, she was thankful for Luka standing up for her, she was afraid and stressed that Kagami saw her with the Parrot Miraculous, but most of all, she was angry. Angry about Lila pulling one of her stupid plans again. Angry about Lila lying again. Heck, if it weren't for Lila, Kagami never would've looked in her purse and found the Miraculous!
