This is perhaps the first hymn set to music I've written. The intended music has a relatively slow, consistent tempo.
Thank you, Lord, for your promises
Thank you, Christ, for your sufferings
Thank you, Spirit, for your Life within:
For it's you who Lives in me,
A new creature I will be,
And it's you, it is you, who sustains my faith.
Thank you, Christ, you were crucified
Thank you, Lord, that with you I've died
Thank you, Jesus, you were raised in life
And it's you who Lives in me,
So I'm crucified with thee,
It is you, it is you who sustains my faith.
Thank you, Lord, in my wanderings
Thank you, Lord, even when I sin:
That you love me still and will renew
For it's you who Lives in me,
Even when I cannot see
That it's you, it is you, who sustains my faith.
~~(Bridge?)~~
For you have given all that I need,
For life and godliness to honor thee,
And all your promises are "Yes! Amen."
In Christ, my Lord.
~~~~
Thank you, Lord, when I walk in power
Thank you, Lord, when I feel your joy
Thank you, Spirit, when I bear your fruits
That it's you who Lives in me,
When it's Jesus others see
Even then, it is you, who sustains my faith.
Christian Poems/Hymns/Songs
PoetryI like to play piano. Often, I like to sing (privately!). I also like hymns. So.... Sometimes I try to compose. These are Christian Hymns/Poems I have composed (I may have music in mind, but on this site they're basically just poetry).
