Ahh we start of my book/list whatever this is with my favourite movie of all time! All the movies here are in pretty loose order but I can safely say this is my favourite. If you've never heard of Kill Bill, its a 2-part movie revenge plot following a bride seeking vengeance on the people who screwed her over. Bill (obviously) is the main antagonist and our protagonist is only named 'The Bride'.
It seems pretty usual but it's actually a smart satire and tribute to the original low-budget Japanese revenge movies of the 1970's. And yes I'm counting these 2 movies as one, If you want to watch them they're titled Kill Bill: Vol. 1 and Kill Bill: Vol. 2.
The film is directed by Quention Tarantino who is fantastic (you'll see more of his movies on this list) and stars Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu and Daryl Hannah. It's very stylised and includes black and white scenes, my favourite movie soundtrack, over the top blood and gore effects and even an anime sequence. Characters are given stupid names and insane sword fights which you'll have to see to believe, most of it is played for comedy and not meant to be taken seriously.
It's visually interesting and the backrounds are very inspired. If you like anime or Japanese backrounds definitely check this out, and if you'd like to watch an amazing movie that isn't 100% serious and a lot of fun, sit around with some friends and put it on :P
