Chapter 5

As she lay there on the ground motionless, Asher thought about all the events leading up to the moment she laid down on the cold dew covered grass of the forest. She recognized the place from her dream. The trees towered around her, and a small slit was formed in the ground, as if someone had emerged from it. She stood up and put up her tent. Mystic had left to get fire wood, and food. Asher knew she had a purpose other than finding the Phoenix kingdom. She pulled out her half charged phone that she hadn't used since she left home. She had recently learned that her grandfather had died of a heart attack, and wasn't in the mood for some happy go lucky music. She skipped right to the quiet sad songs and sat with her back against the tree. After a few minutes, the song 'darkside' began playing. "The kid he's got a dark side, best believe it's the last trick up his sleeve, the kid he's got a darkside pressed against the wall, la la la la la" the song said. Asher was angry, but not in a way that she would punch something, no. She was a frustrated crying angry. She let the thick black liquid that was her tears stream down her face. She felt a pulse of energy, and whipped her tears. Another pulse of power, she teleported toward it once Mystic knew what was going on. A angel, warlock, and reficul. Her face was somewhat stained with the black tears. Her short blonde hair was blowing slightly in the breeze. What would happen she didn't know, but she wasn't sure she wanted to. Her wings spread out, ready for attack, but no one knew why they were here either. Asher was confused. Then she noticed the reficul's face. She was careful not to say it, but she knew. She knew this was the memory linked person. She knew this was fate, she knew that if she wasn't killed fighting, she would be left with her. And she didn't know how it would end.
