"We want to see you again, Rose. I'm sorry we haven't reached out, your father's been so busy with the church and you leaving didn't help. We needed time. But we're here still, if you ever want to come back and see us we—Voicemail full."

Rose replayed the voicemail from her mother over and over again.
She couldn't believe she reached out, but for some reason she couldn't bring herself to reply.
Rose didn't know what to think.
She clicked the replay button again.
"We want to see you again, Rose..."
"Fuck, how many times you gon' play that?"
Tyler walked out of the bathroom, adjusting his pants.
And yes, they fucked. Again.
It had only been a week since Rocky's party happened where all this was supposed to end. The friends with benefits thing was getting messy.
"I just can't believe she reached out..." Rose got up off the bed.
"You gonna go see her?"
"I don't know."
Rose turned to look at him.
"Should I? what would you do?"
He threw himself on the bed, sighing.
T was silent.
"Shit. I don't know."
"Exactly, I want to...but like, they abandoned me. They don't deserve to get to see me after I've made a name for myself. What the fuck? It's fucked up."
"Rose."
"Yeah?"
"You're the one who left."
She rolled her eyes.
"Technically. But I couldn't fucking breathe around them. It was literally jail."
"Yeah but they didn't abandon you," he shrugged. "They just wanted the best for you."
She sighed, laying down next to him.
"Whose side are you even on?"
Tyler laughed lightly, breaking the tension.
"Shouldn't you go? All you were supposed to do was drop off Frank's stuff," she looked over at him.
He propped his elbow on the bed.
"Don't change the subject."
"I'm just telling you!" She laughed.
"If you want me to go with you...I'll go."
She furrowed her eyebrows.
"What like a fucking road trip?" Rose let out a laugh.
"Yeah. I'm serious. We don't have shit going on right now. I'd go."
"Oh yeah? what about Des? it's no way she'll let you come with me."
"So I'll tell Clancy to cover for me."
