Chapter Six - The First Trial

You woke up in your room, later in the day. You were alone and it was awfully quiet.

Too quiet.

Until Toko came running through your door.

"(Y/N)! Thank god you're up! C'mon the trial's about to start!" She exclaimed as she pulled you up off the bed and dragged you out of the room, locking it behind you.

"Wait, but Toko, I didn't do any investigating!" You complained as she handed you your room key back.

"Don't worry about it. We know who did it."

You followed the girl as she led the way towards the elevator.

"Y-you know?! Who was it then?!"

She looked at you, before muttering under her breath, "Naegi."

You slapped the girl's forearm.

"Ow! (Y/N)!"

"It can't have been Naegi, you doofus! You saw how close they were and his reaction when we found her... He was terrified..."

Toko sighed as you guys got closer to the elevator, "You're too forgiving, you know that right?"

Once you got into the elevator, you saw there were only 6 people there, the others were going to arrive shortly. Aoi, Ogami, Chihiro,Kiyotaka, Togami and Celeste were in the elevator.

To your surprise, Togami smiled softly at you. You smiled back, but you couldn't help but blush. You'd never seen him smile before, it was... rather cute!

You turned back to Toko before feeling a pair of arms wrap round your waist from behind, pulling you into a hug.

You craned your head upwards to see Leon nuzzling his face in your hair. You blushed before greeting the boy. "H-hey Le!"

"They wouldn't let me see you..." He muttered.

"Who?"

"Fukawa and Togami. The rich idiot was keeping hold of your room key."

"Oh." You mumbled before making eye contact with Togami, who merely shrugged in response a hint of jealousy glistening his eyes. 

The red haired boy let go of you and lent against the wall as more people arrived.

"Nice one! Don't you know how to tell time?" Kiyotaka asked Naegi sarcastically, who had just walked into the elevator. "We've been waiting, i'll have you know."

"Taka, i'm sure he's just nervous, like the rest of us." You told the boy, offering Naegi a small smile.

"Huh, I suppose you can hardly blame him. Right? He knows it's only an amount of time before he's executed!" Toko commented from you right.

You slapped her round the back of the head.

"We haven't proved anything yet!" Kiyotaka declared.

"Whatever man, look at him! He's totally guilty." Leon commented from your left.

You groaned before leaning against the wall next to Leon, resting your head oh his shoulder. The boy blushed but relaxed more.

"Pupupupu! Is everybody in?"

The elevator began to move downwards, quickly opening minutes later.

You lifted your head off of Leon's shoulder and walked over to Naegi as the others left the elevator.

You put your hand on his shoulder and smiled softly, "If it makes it any easier, I don't think you did it, Koto."

You then walked into the courtroom.
