And such is the nature of life, it's so easy to destroy and yet burdensome to build, one man's sorrow can never be comprehended by another, and due to this way of life humans are bound to eventually destroy the very substance they worked so hard to build; "a future". What if there's more to life than our petty little fights and arguments? What if being rich and idolized by many isn't the ultimate accolade in this neverending journey of existence? What if we're actually pursuing the wrong purpose? What then? Will we wilt away into a doomed existence or acknowledge what we don't know and work towards achieving it? Will we remain thickle and self absorbed? Or will we wither away like a shrub in a desert that's been deprived of nourishment?
It's really that simple. Life is a canvas and we can paint any picture we want on it irrespective of what may be happening elsewhere. There's a lot of success stories on the internet and Man has seen many breakthroughs throughout the Millenia they've been walking the earth, there was never really anything holding us back, we carved our own lives according to how we saw fit. We had dominion upon everything from the moment we set foot here and we still do, we are the Masters of our own decisions and artists of our own canvases, what we depict to others is by our own hands and we can't give anyone else credit for that because at the end of the day we put the ink on paper, we said yes and no.
Of course you could argue that there are higher powers at work that affect our decisions and mould life in a certain way however the so called "higher powers" are a by-product of our brains' inability to comprehend the knowledge and vastness of the universe that even today we are still exploring and have barely even touched the tip of, at least that's what Allen thought.
