"Do I need to go with you mom?"
I am lying in my bed when mom entered my room, telling me that we need to attend a party.
"Yes Kady, please? They invited us. Nakakahiya naman kung kami lang dalawa ng dad mo" I sighed. I don't want to attend any parties. Especially their party.
"They wouldn't mind naman kung wala ako dun" I closed my eyes, still not interested to the party. I'm tired! I need sleep.
"Please Honey? Hindi naman tayo magtatagal dun" Mom pleaded. Wala na akong nagawa at tumango nalang habang nakapikit pa din ang mga mata.
I sighed. "Ok mom, I'm coming with you. I will just take a short nap, gisingin mo nalang ako kapag mag-aayos na."
"Thanks sweetie!" she kissed me before leaving my room. Natulog nalang ako para hindi ako antukin kaagad mamaya.

I was busy fixing my hair when I heard a soft knock on my door.
"Come in" I shouted and continued what I'm doing. Nakabihis na ko at buhok ko nalang ang inaayos ko.
"Are you done? Baka malate tayo"
"I'm almost done Mom"
"Ok we'll wait you downstairs." I just nod and continued what I'm doing.
Ng masigurong ayos na ang itsura ko ay bumaba na ako. I'm wearing a simple fitted beige dress na above the knee at tinernuhan din ng beige na sandals, my long straight hair is in high ponytail.
Sumakay na kami sa car at nagtungo na sa party ng mga Del Luna. It's been years since I attended a party, kaya naman medyo nakakapanibago.
When we arrived at Del Luna's Mansion ay madami ng tao. Mom and Dad become busy talking with their amigos and amigas while I am starting to get bored. Buti nalang at nakita ko si Megan.
"Kady!" She shouted ng makita ako.
"Megan!" We hugged each other. Ang tagal ko din syang hindi nakita. She looked gorgeous in her red fitted dress na may slit above her knees.
"Welcome back! I'm glad you're here.I heard kakadating mo lang?"
"Yeah, May jetlag pa nga ako but I can't say no to my parents"
"How are you? It's been 5 years since we last saw each other, you looked more beautiful"
"Thanks!I'm doing great naman. You also looked gorgeous"
"Are you planning to stay here for good?"
Napatigil ako saglit sa tanong nya. Kahit ako ay hindi ko naisip na mag-settle na ulit dito.
"Maybe?"
We had a little catch up pa about each other until the emcee announced that the party will start in any minute.
"Let's meet each other again sometime Meg!" I said. We bid our goodbyes and headed back to our seat.
The party started. It was just a simple yet elegant celebration party of Del Luna Corp. I heard they are one of the successful company in Asia and Europe.
"I would like to thank each and everyone for coming. It's such a great privilege to share with you our success. We assure you that we will continue to do our best for the company. Let's make a toast everyone!" We all raised our glass for a toast.
"For the success of Del Luna Corp. Cheers!"
A slow music started to fill the whole room. Mayroon na ding iilan na nag sasayaw sa gitna with their partners.
While here I am, bagot na bagot sa buhay at anytime ay makakatulog na sa upuan ko. Idagdag mo pa ang nakakaantok ng tugtog. Geez, I need some energy.
"Mom, I'll just get some food." Paalam ko kay mommy. Busy pa din kasi sila sa pakikipag-usap and I feel so out of place.
"Okay dear,"
Tumayo na ako at nagpunta sa lagayan ng mga pagkain to look for something sweet. I found a chocolate cake, kumuha na din ako ng juice at baka mamaya ay mabulunan ako.
I decided to look for a place na tahimik kaya naman nagtungo ako sa likurang bahagi ng mansion. Ngunit bago ako makalabas ay may narinig akong nag-uusap, lalampasan ko na sana sila pero there is something inside me na gustong makinig. Uh chismosa instinct I guess.
"Girl, Alam mo ba Rajeeyah Joaquin is getting married."
"What? Really? Who is the lucky girl naman daw?" Gulat na reaksyon niya.
I just rolled my eyes and continue listening. Buti nalang at walang masyadong nagpupunta sa kinatatayuan ko kung hindi ay mukha akong tanga na nakatayo dito habang may hawak na cake at juice.
"I don't know e. I just heard mommy talking to Mrs. Amira about wedding"
So he's getting married huh? Good for him. But why do I feel so sad? Ano bang paki ko?
Hindi ko na tinapos ang pakikinig at lumabas na ako.
I felt a sudden pain in my chest. It's been years since I last saw Raj. I manage to forget him and busied myself in my career.
But just hearing his name, feeling ko bumalik lahat. It took me years to built myself again from my past. And now, bumabalik ang lahat.
Siguro bad idea talaga ang bumalik.
