There is always a rainbow after the storm. Yes, I believe that but, rainbow never last. It will rain again and the unexpected downpour will drench you and give you colds then turns into a flu. The nasty kind.
After talking with Josh, I headed to Shang to meet with Art's parents. We have these regular lunches with them at least once a month, just to catch up since Art moved out from their home. They have accepted me as their own daughter and would urged us to get married already and have kids since they are getting old that kind of stuff. They're both doctors by the way so most of the time they talk about medical related topics and I would get bored but Art would always cut short the conversation or change the topic all together for me to join in.
He's considerate like that, really is a good man, and for sure a good husband and father to our kids in the near future. Our future.
I cannot see myself without him and that scares me sometimes; too much emotional dependency to a person is definitely not good for my mental health so I talked to my therapist about that and gave me some advice on how to deal with it. Being more active and independent helped me to overcome that fear; he lets me decide on my own and face my own battles but always assuring me that he got my back. Pushing me to be a better version of myself.
Today was different after Art told them that we're engaged they we beyond ecstatic, the conversation was all about the wedding like they already planned this way ahead of us. I'm grateful but also a bit overwhelmed by their inputs. We haven't even decided when and they're already discussing the about the caterers. Oh, this is going to be fun.
Diner was more chill but basically the same. The usual boys talk reminiscing about their alma mater and shenanigans, Art was like the son that my dad never had. So, when me and art have an argument, he would be always on Art's side. Like hello? I'm your daughter.
