𝐛𝐨𝐲𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝 - 𝐣𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐡

ｎｉｎｅｔｅｅｎ

life had been hard for francesca and jack ever since freya came along. there were many sleepless nights as she needed fed and changed regularly throughout the night. on top of this, jack still had to go to training since the season was still not over yet. this meant that francesca often had the stress of tending to a new-born all by herself and jack was more tired when he came home but they wouldn't trade it for the world. 

freya was already a spitting image of her dad. she had his dark brown eyes and it was looking like she was going to have dark brunette hair as well. it was clear that she had inherited her mother's nose though so it wasn't all jack.

the couple were extremely lucky that they stayed close to both of their parents so they had extra help. andrew and louis took almost any opportunity to take freya for a walk in her pram and have their granddaughter to themselves. francesca and jack needed to go food shopping? grandads louis and andrew to the rescue! jack had a game? andrew and louis would be there to look after freya. time for freya's feed? louis and andrew would probably find a way to do that too even though she was a breastfed baby.

they appreciated all the help that they were getting because they both knew that there would be no way for them to cope with all of this on their own but they were glad that they could have her to themselves for the day.

"training is only an hour today so i'll see you both later." jack leaned down to kiss the foreheads of his two favourite girls only for francesca to protest.

"please let us come. if my dads notice that your car is gone when they go for their 'walk', they'll be straight over and i love them but they're suffocating me." when jack looked down, he noticed that the baby bag was already packed so he knew that even if he wanted to say 'no', he couldn't because his girlfriend would force herself into his car with their daughter and beg him to take them training.

"okay, dean is going to hate me for this but let's go." he helped francesca strap their daughter into her baby carrier before carrying her out to the car.

the car ride to the training centre was a short one. jack had picked the ideal location when he bought the house but francesca still found it hard not to drift to sleep during the short journey. neither of them had a sleep schedule at the moment due to the fact that they only slept when their little bundle of joy slept and for a four month old baby, it was hardly ever.

jack pulled up to the aston villa training ground and helped the mother of his child get their daughter out of the car. freya was awake and her eyes filled with curiosity as she took in the unfamiliar surroundings, a small smile forming on her face as her dad gripped onto her hand. 

francesca picked up the baby carrier and walked with her boyfriend who was still holding freya's hand, into the training centre, greeting most of the staff as they walked through to find the rest of jack's team.

opening the double doors to the indoor training pitches since it was a bit cooler outside, jack was immediately greeted by the team, none of them taking notice of his daughter or his girlfriend other than dean and john terry.

"looks like we have some visitors today." dean smiled at the baby, noticing how much she looked like his star player. john terry made some faces at the little girl, the sound of her laughs catching the attention of the rest of the boys.

"my niece is here!" john mcginn yelled out, giving francesca a tight hug before pushing john terry and dean out of the way, cooing at his neice. jack and john weren't related but the pair had a bromance so strong that it threatened francesca and jack's relationship so it was only right that freya should grow up calling john her uncle.

"you guys make cute babies." tyrone laughed, slinging his arm around francesca's shoulder, using her as a shoulder rest since she was significantly smaller than the solid defender.

"you do. when's baby number two coming?" conor hourihane asked as a joke, his irish accent coming through strong as the rest of the squad, including jack, laughed at the question.

"about that," francesca's voice trailed off, immediately catching her boyfriend's reaction, his eyebrows raised as he wondered what she had to say.

"nine months before baby number two is here." the whole squad was quiet, the only sound being heard was john's soft snickers and the sound of jack's hand slapping his shoulder.

"you're serious?" jack's voice was serious since he couldn't tell if his girlfriend was joking with him or not. he honestly wouldn't have minded another child. what's another few months without sleep? but at the same time, he wished that they could've planned this one.

"i took the tests this morning and they all came back positive." before the brunette girl had the chance to gauge her boyfriend's reaction he was lifting her up and spinning her around his arms. the cheers of the squad could be heard over the sound of francesca's laughter, a sound that never got old for jack.

"you guys need to learn what condoms are." john laughed as he was now sitting on the astro turf with his niece in his laugh, the sounds of her squeals and giggles warming everybody's hearts. she was without a doubt the best thing that had ever happened to francesca and jack. they loved her with everything inside of them.

"you wouldn't believe how many faulty ones there are." the brummie boy laughed with his best friend as dean and jt tried to herd the squad to get to their training drills.

"at least they can't argue about who was an accident since they both were." tyrone laughed, earning him a slap from both jack and francesca, the slap from the smaller girl being the more painful one.

"happy accidents and we won't love them any less." the mother smiled at her daughter as jack jogged away with his teammates, smiling back at his growing family, blowing them each a kiss.

a/n: this is quite possibly one of my favourite chapters of this book but it's also the second last :( the last chapter will be up tomorrow so keep an eye out for that but i'll also be posting the start of 'fake smile' so if you're interested, you know where to find it.

i'm so sad that this book is coming to an end. i was so nervous about publishing it for you all because i'll be honest, i didn't like it that much but you all seem to love it and i've had such a great response from you all so thank you!
