Part 44

Sameer's Room
ARJUN POV

Understanding her feelings and my late mother's feelings about this chain, I just silently agree and accept it. I just put it in my pocket as someone opens the door and comes in.

" The priest is calling Sameer to the alter..!! "
I hear senior Rawte say as he looks at us all especially at me making me feel like that he heard everything that Maa Sa just said.

And with that we all head outside to the entrance of the mansion where the others are waiting for us.

Third Person POV

As decided earlier, Sameer makes his grand entry to the ceremony venue on a decorated white horse as his family and few guests dance around him to the beat of a dhol. Once they calm down with the arrival of the groom, Neelam and Nilesh welcome Sameer and the rest as per the traditions.

Sameer is then guided to the Mandal where the priest is already waiting for him and his bride to come.

And then comes the most precious moment of Sameer's life as Ayesha walks towards him under the pholon ki chadar with her face behind her transparent veil as the boys walk by her sides holding the chadar and Riya and the rest of the girls walk behind her to the mandap as din shagna da plays in background.

Once both Sameer and Ayesha are standing together, the couple exchanges floral garlands to wear around their necks to symbolize their acceptance of each other as explained by the priest which they happily do

For the ceremony, the priest, Sameer, Ayesha and their respective parents sit beneath a mandap near them.
The ceremony starts off with the kanya daan, in which the Ayesha's parents give her away to Sameer trusting him to always take care of and respect their daughter. Then the couple joins hands and circles around a small, enclosed fire (the agni) in a ritual holding hands.
