"M-ma..." You and Haru were sitting on the carpet in the living room when Sousuke walked in the front door. "Oh! Sousuke, Sousuke! Come quickly!! Haru's about to say his first word!!" You exclaimed to your husband, waving him over to where you were seated. "Oh really? What's the little guy about to say?" Sousuke came and sat next to you then lifted up Haru and cradled him in his arms. You were quite surprised at his actions. He would almost never want to hold, much less cradle, his son. The fact that he wanted to do it voluntarily stunned you. "Come on Haru, come on!" Sousuke tried encouraging the little baby, but tears sprung from Haru's eyes and he began to wail loudly. You quickly snatched your son from your husband, rocking him back and forth while shushing him to be quiet. After a few minutes, Haru's cries ceased and all was quiet again. Haru had fallen asleep in your arms.

"Jeez Sousuke... Don't scare him!" You pestered the teal-eyed man for frightening your son. "I didn't try to scare him. I was just encouraging him." He retorted, causing you to glare at him. "I'm going to take Haru to his crib ok? I'll be right back." You stood up to bring the sleeping baby to his room upstairs, leaving Sousuke alone in the room.

"Hmph... I wasn't trying to make him cry... The little brat must really hate me after all."
