Derek's POV

I walked into the BAU like any other normal day. Today I finds Spencer Reid my coworker and friend pouring himself over yet another book this one on the humans ability to love. Reid looks up.

"Morning Derek, you alright?"

"Yeah I guess." Reid and I have a lean on me relationship going on we're supporting each other. Only a year ago Reid got kidnapped and drugged then became dependent on them. I have been trying to help him through it as best i could but I've been fearing that Reid might try something stupid. All of a sudden agent Hotch calls the team into the briefing room.

"Three month ago bodies started popping up in a small town in Pennsylvania called Slatington. They appear to be beheaded and drained of blood. We think satanic, but if we're correct the unsub could strike again at any moment. So we need to be on our toes."

Three hours later on the jet.

Reid's been explaining the satanic worship rituals ever since we go on the jet I think JJ's going to crack first (we all have a running bet on who's going to get sick of Reid's talking first). Finally she did and Reid shut up real fast. Hodge comes from the front of the cab with our room assignment's.

"The hotel's pretty small so we'll be doubling up to save space." Hotch hands me a paper with directions to the hotel and at the bottom it says that I'll be sharing a room with Reid. I nearly groaned out loud.

At the hotel

When Hotch said small he wasn't kidding there was one bed and a couch. I told Reid I'd take the couch but he insisted. (OK I need to let you readers in on a secret Reid and I have been seeing each other romantically for 3 months behind the teams back. I'm been planning to propose to him the moment we're alone).

"Reid I need to ask you something"

"Anything Morgan."

"We've been together for a while right?"

"Yeah, three months two days eleven hours why?"

"I wanted to know if you put any thought on the subject of marriage." Reid stops unpacking and looks at me.

"I don't know Derek i ..." Then Hotch calls him"I gotta take this." Reid walks into the bathroom and shuts the door. Not even five minutes later Reid hurries out and grabs his beloved messenger bag. "They just found another body. This time a young boy."

We rushed out to the SUV and drove to the station. I dropped Reid off and went to the crime scene.

The crime scene was a secluded part of the forest. I uncovered the body and saw the protection symbol carved in the boys chest. He didnt look older than seven. I stood up and walked over to Hotch who was questioning the woman who found him.

Suddenly Hotch got a call. "Mmh, OK I understand alright we're on it." He put his phone back in his pocket. "Emily and JJ say the are in a high speed chance with the unsub."

"Well what are we waiting for lets go join it." We hopped in our seperate vehicles and sped off.
