Criminal minds The brave and brainy (a reid/Morgan romance)

3 Years later

Reid stumbles into a hospital not knowing who he is and covered in blood and bruises from multiple stab wounds and physical abuse. He is the third victim found like this except that Reid's alive and the other two victims are dead. The FBI catches wiff of the case and goes to phillipsburg nj. Derek and the new forensic analysis go to question the remaining victim. The doctor tries to sedate Reid but Reid cries out. Derek rushes down the hall and sees Reid, his Reid beaten,bruised, and terrified in the corner of the room holding a scalpel to his neck. Reid tries to think of where he knows that guy from but draws up a blank. Derek cannot beleive his eyes his Reid, the one that he not long ago proposed to in front of him.

"Hey pretty boy." Derek heard coming out of his mouth. Reid stared at him in confusion until blood started dripping in his eye.

Derek edged closer to his terrified Reid, careful not to scare him and took the scalpel out of his hand. The minute Reid let go he broke down and started crying, not only for his memory but for the mental and physical pain. Derek grabbed him and held him against his chest for a long time to make sure this was real. Soon enough the doctor cleared his throat.

"Um agent could I please fix up my patient now." Derek looked down at the sobbing boy he once knew and loved.

"Hey Reid I'm going to lift you onto the bed now."

Reid looked up at him with teary eyes. "Please don't leave me."

"OK pretty boy I promise,but you gotta let the doc check you out." Reid nodded his head painfully. Derek lifted his frail lover in his arms and noticed how light he'd gotten. He started to unhook himself from Reid but Reid wouldn't budge. So he ended up sitting on the bed with Reid on his lap. The doc walked over to examine the cut on his forehead.

"Nurse could you please bring in stiches." Reid started shaking when the doc examined him. Derek tried to be nurturing to Reid but every time the doc suddenly moved Reid jumped. Stitches done and shoulder popped back into place, the doctor sedated Reid so he could rest. Derek tucked Reid in on the bed and, reluctantly, went out into the hall to talk to the doctor.
