Pov - Tj

I walk towards Cyrus's house on a cold evening.  I'm on my way to pick him up so we can walk to Andi's New Year party.  It's going to be great.

You guessed it.  Today is New Years Eve.  Andi is throwing a party for all of us to celebrate.  We are all going to stay up until midnight, but I have other plans, more on that later.

Cyrus's house is in view.  I play with the dog tag around my neck that he gave me.  I wear it every day.  Why wouldn't I wear it every day?  That's bad boyfriend material if I didn't.

I see Cyrus come out of his house and down the porch steps.  He must've seen me.  I smile in his presence and he smiles too.  He walks down the steps towards me.

"Hey baby," I say to him.

"Hiiii," he says, blushing.  I smile widely.

When he's close enough I hug him.  It feels like I haven't seen him in forever even though its been about a day.  I miss him every second of the day.

"Missed you," he says.

"Missed you more," I say, making him giggle.

We walk towards Andi's house, hand in hand.   It brings my thoughts back to the night we got together.

"Do you remember the night I first held your hand?" I ask him.

"Of course I do," he says. "Every second of it,"

"Yeah, you had no idea how long I had waited to do that," I confess.

"Aw Teej,  well I'm glad you did.  That took a lot of guts."

"Yeah,  I was so nervous," I say. "I had butterflies in my stomach and my heart was beating so fast,"

He giggles. "Yeah, when I saw your hand, my heart did a loop and I was like, is this really happening?"

"When Kira made me choose between you and her that night, I chose you, of course-"

"Awww," he says, cutting me off.

"And that made me realize I had to tell you, because she knew what was up." I say. "I went into full gay panic mode.  That's why I was on the bench in the first place.  I needed to think about it,"

"Yeah, I saw you alone about to sit down and thought, I'll sit with him.  Best decision ever," he says making me blush.

"Yeah, and then while you were talking to me and I trusted you enough to the point where I could tell you my deepest darkest secret-"

"Tj, your full name is great," he says cutting me off again.

"Yeah right. Anyways, if I could tell you one of my deepest secrets, then I could tell you my other secret, which was that I liked you." I say.

"Aw, I liked you too then.  You were constantly in my mind and I was too scared that you wouldn't accept me, but then you did.  I was so happy.  It was like a relief was lifted off my shoulders." he says.

"It's crazy how we can talk about our past while liking each other now." I say.

"It is crazy, but I like it though," 

"Me too," I say smiling at him. 

We approach Andi's house and go inside.  The music is loud and upbeat, perfect for a party.

"Hey guys!" Andi says greeting us.

"Hey!" Cyrus says.  Andi pulls Cyrus by the hands into their friend group.
