The first project for the students is to make a flag and how it represents them. Daichi comes up with his plan while Kanae approaches him. She compliments his progress, and he shows her that one of his latest pieces, which he didn't work on for a long time was the highest of the rankings. Kanae becomes impressed, and she goes back to work. Due to the spark that she gives him, he is motivated to keep working on his flag. The teacher promptly exits, and the twins, Mina and Akio begin to argue about what to add in their flag, but Hiro comes to the rescue by showing them other designs they can use.
