Chapter 6 ~ Leaving

* A week later on Friday after school * 

Today was a hard day, I haven't seen Courtney because she was moving today. When I arrived at home I saw her car. She was standing in the kitchen. " Hi Madison " Is what she said and she almost started crying. "Hi Courtney " I couldn't stop my tears, I was definitely the most dramatic of the 2 of us. We cried and hugged for 5 minutes straight. After we talked about HOW sad we were about the fact that she was just leaving me , I decided to tell her about Jack. BUT first I went upstairs quickly because I wanted to be sure that Jack wasn't here. I knocked on my brother's door and he said "No, Jack's not here " ,  "Oh okay thanks haha " is what I answered. I ran downstairs and I looked at Courtney with a bright smile on my face." TELL ME ALREADY MADDIE ", Then I told everything about Jack , how we met, our deep conversation , the eye contact we made for 5 minutes straight. "Okay marry that boy " is what she said. We both laughed so hard. "I'm gonna miss these times with you Court" , "Aw I'll miss you so much " We both cried. My mom walked into the kitchen knowing it wasn't the right moment to do that, that was my mom , always coming in at the most horrible times.   " Aw girls! Don't be so sad, We'll visit a lot of times. ! " Is what my mom said to calm us down and make us happier. I appreciated it but I was so sad. When Courtney left I cried in my mom's arms. " It'll be so different without her " Is what I said. " I know , but we'll visit them, I promise " Is what my mom said trying to make me happier, it worked a little. Then the doorbell rang. I opened the door and saw Jack standing there. " Hi Madison ." he smiled. I was so happy to see him, he was honestly all I wanted to see now , even tho I knew he came for Anthony. "I just had a conversation with Anthony and he said that you were sad because your best friend left today ", I was suprised that he started talking about that. " Yea that's true... " I said , getting into a sad mood again. Then he started hugging me. I noticed that he smelled so good. He whispered in my ear : " It'll be fine, you'll be okay, I promise. " And that's all I needed to hear now.
