"So what do you think?" Malcolm said eagerly. I took a deep breath and sat back in my chair.
"I just feel like he doesn't fit the vibe of my tour you know?" I hesitantly said, afraid to hurt his feelings.
"You'll love him I swear, he's so humble and a really sweet person" Malcolm said, in attempt to convince me to let this man be my support for my upcoming tour.
"Ariana it could be a good idea, if you have a different genre of music rather than yours, it brings in new fans" Scooter chimed in. I looked over at him with a disappointed look. I was hoping he'd back me up on this one. "I'm just saying" he said, shrugging his shoulders. I sighed then looked back at Malcolm; giving me puppy dog eyes and a pouting lip. I rolled my eyes and let out a loud sigh.
"Fine" I groaned, and Malcolm immediately pulled me in for a hug. "But he's on thin ice, so tell him not to fuck up" I said sternly.
"I will" Malcolm said excitedly. He pulled away, stood up and closed his laptop.
"You won't regret it, he's going to blow up one day" Malcolm said. I stood up and followed him to the front door.
"I'll text you his number" Malcolm said. I smiled and nodded.
"Okay"
"Thank you" he said graciously.
"Mhm" I hummed. He walked out to his car and left. I closed the door and walked over to scooter.
"Thanks for backing me up" I scoffed.
"Ariana, don't be so close minded, he could really bring a lot to the table" scooter chuckled.
"Yeah, like, all of the vibes that I don't want to be around" I said, crossing my arms.
"You haven't even met him yet" scooter said.
"You saw the video! Gold chains, braids, gold teeth, come on. No way he's humble" I said.
"Well, we'll meet up with him tomorrow and then you decide what you think of him" scooter said. I rolled my eyes and plopped down on the couch next to him.
"And What happens if I don't like him?" I asked. Scooter laughed and adjusted his hat on his head.
"Then I guess you better learn to love him, cause you'll be living with him for nine months"

"Well Austin, I'm looking foreword to you coming on tour with us" scooter said standing up. He pulled out a few papers from his bag and set them down in front of Austin. "Here's all of the rehearsal dates and addresses, and also all of the actual tour dates and times" scooter said. Austin nodded and silently read over them.
"Anyone want a drink?" Scooter asked.
"I'll take a bud light" Austin said with a smile.
"Are you twenty- one?" Scooter chuckled.
"No" Austin said with a hopeful smile.
"Not in public but when it's just us on tour I got you" he said patting his back. Scooter walked away, leaving just Austin and I. I sat back in my chair with my arms crossed over my chest.
"You don't talk much?" He chuckled, looking up at me. He eyes were a light blue, and his hair was in braids. He wasn't wearing gold teeth today, thank god.
"I don't have anything to say" I said, raising an eyebrow, not moving a muscle on my body. The corners of his mouth slightly curved up, he did a silent laugh which sounded more like a quick, harsh amount of air pushing out of his nostrils.
"Well I've been told that you usually have a lot to say" he said, looking down at his papers. I rolled my eyes and leaned foreword.
"Here's something" I said, and rested my elbows on the table. He looked up at me and I looked him directly in the eyes.
"I don't like you, and I don't want you on this tour, and I absolutely do not want you to ever be within 20 feet of me again" I said and batted my eyelashes. He smiled but continued to make eye contact with me.
"wow" he said chuckling. "That's not usually the first thing a woman says to me" he said, running his fingers through his facial hair. I squinted my eyes and shook my head.
"What do you usually get?" I questioned. I was genuinely confused as to how any other woman would enjoy his company right off the bat.
Austin looked down at his fingers, a devious smirk played his lips. He looked up at Scooter who was walking towards the table. He cleared his throat and wiped the smile off his throat.
"So yeah, I'm really excited to go on tour with you" he said, shooting me a wink.
"Well I'm glad Ariana is warming up to you" scooter said taking a seat next to me. I gave Austin a disgusted look and I returned to my original position, leaning on the back of my chair and arms crossed over my chest.
"Oh yeah, we're getting along great" Austin said with a cheeky smile.
"Yeah, just great" I mumbled, staring him dead in the eyes.

"Oh Ariana, Austin is such a delight to be around, you made a good choice" my nona cooed. My family all came out for a week before I leave for tour. Then they fly back out to New York. I gave her a small smile. Scooter insisted I invite Austin to meet the family.
"Really, he's such a gentleman" my mom said, flattered by him.
"Yeah he's great" I said sarcastically, and continued eating my dinner.
"Ariana are you okay?" My mother asked. I looked up at her and she was staring at me with worried eyes.
"No- yeah I'm fine" I nodded and flashed her a smile.
We finished our dinner and everyone made their way to the living, but I stayed behind to take the dishes to the kitchen. Austin walked into the dinning room and started picking up plates as well.
"You don't have to" I mumbled. I turned and walked to the kitchen with a handful of things and he followed with a handful. I set my dishes in the sink and he sat his on the counter next to the sink. I opened the dishwasher and pulled the top tray open.
"You're mom and grandmother are pretty cool" he said, breaking the calming silence between us.
"Yeah, they're awesome" I said, putting the cups into the top rack. He looked up at me, he seemed a bit confused, like he didn't know what to say.
"So" he said awkwardly. "Thanks for- Uh- inviting me" he said, even more awkwardly.
"Yeah well don't get used to it, as soon as this tour is over, I'll never-" I started
"Okay what's your problem" he said, pretty loudly. I stopped putting the dishes in the dishwasher and looked up at him.
"Is everything okay?" Scooter asked, appearing in the doorway to the kitchen. Austin and I both looked at him and smiled.
"Yeah everything's fine" I said, with the fakest smile I've ever given anyone. He nodded and walked out. Austin grabbed my wrist and pulled me through the kitchen and out onto the back deck.
"So what's your issue" he yelled after closing the door.
"You're my issue" I hissed, crossing my arms over my body. He scoffed,
"And what did I do to you" he said, mimicking my position, crossing his arms over his body.
"You think I'm stupid" I said. His eyes widened and he placed his hands on the top of his head.
"Wha- when did I ever say that?" He yelled.
"I know the type of guy you are" I said pointing a finger in my face. He looked down at my finger and took a step closer to me.
"And what type of guy is that?" He asked, more calmly this time.
"You're an asshole" I said, a bit more standoffish.
"I'm an asshole?" He said quietly. I nodded.
"You have everyone in there falling for this little game your playing, but I'm not falling for it" I said placing a hand on his chest and giving him a gentle push.
"And what makes you think I'm playing a game?" He asked, more seductively rather than angry.
"I've dated guys like you, you're nice at first, then you get what you want, and then you're a whole new person" I said sternly. He smiled and took a step towards me.
"Babygirl I'm not like your exes" he said softly. Almost a whisper but his raspy voice peaked through. I squinted my eyes and shook my head.
"I hate you" I hissed. He took one step closer and placed his hands on my shoulders.
"I'm taking you out tonight" he said, with a smile, like he was satisfied with what he just said.
"I don't want to go anywhere with you" I mumbled.
"We're going to a party tonight" he said confidently.
"No I'm not" I scoffed.
"I'm going to go in there and tell Scooter, that I'm taking you to the studio to teach me tips for being better live, and when you tell him you're not going and you know what he's going to say?" He said, and looked me directly into the eyes. "He's going to say get your ass in my car and help me, cause I'm not a good live performer" he said laughing. I chuckled.
"We can do that, but I'm not going to a party" I said confidently. He raised and eyebrow and quickly ran past me.
"Austin no" I yelled and followed him. He closed the door on me and ran into the living room where everyone was. I quickly opened it and ran into the living room also.
"Ariana that's so nice of you" Scooter exclaimed. I looked over at Austin, he had a cheeky smile plastered across his face. I rolled my eyes and sighed.
"Yep, that's me, I'm so nice"
