SBS Gayo Daejun - December 2017

It's been hectic for the girls. 2017 was probably their busiest year yet. The highlight for Lisa for 2017 was being able to perform with her Unnie's at Taeyang's White Night concert in Kobe, Japan, knowing that his military enlistment was due the following year. She knew their group BlackPink were popular in Japan but being there to witness it all, only sealed the deal. She loved the Blinks in Japan. The Japanese Blinks appreciated them so much and she didn't have to worry about receiving any sort of hate from fans that weren't OT4. From when they touched down and landed in Korea, their schedule was fully booked from performances at big events and photo shoots. Finally, December at last.

Her and BamBam have always been close, since they were in the same dance group back in Thailand. Not long after their episode on Knowing Brothers aired, BamBam FaceTimed Lisa right away and mimicked the Thai Star Dance, not only him but Yugeom. She was excited they were able to attend Gayo Daejeon tonight, as she was excited to see BamBam and his members, who she grew to know, thanks to the impromptu FaceTime calls that BamBam would initiate. Although they weren't able to openly interact in front of the mass SDA of fans, she would grab a moment a quickly hug her childhood friend backstage.

There were so many moments that would happen backstage, where most of the idols would gather around in groups and have a quick catch up. Behind the scenes, it was always friendly. As instructed by YG, he made sure his artists were always near each other and seated beside each other. Either the next table to the left, right or behind. He wasn't keen on putting his artists in awkward situations with other KPop idols from different agencies, especially if it involved the opposite sex. YG knew, his artists would cop the most hate just for being themselves. He wanted to let the public know that, his artists were genuinely themselves, no fabrication whatsoever. He gave them the freedom to be themselves, to express who they were, if it meant dressing a certain way or dying their hair using colours other idols wouldn't dare to try. All that Swag Goo that would drip from his artists, you would definitely know that any artist or group, belonged to YG, just from how they held themselves with confidence.  They were a big happy family behind closed doors.

"Hwaiting!!", Lisa broke from her daydreaming and looked up to where that voice came from. It was her Oppa Seunghoon from WINNER. Lisa smiled brightly, "Thanks Oppa!". Lisa was really close to Seunghoon. He watched BlackPink train as he was asked to also participate in their monthly evaluations after WINNER successfully debuted. He was more proud of Lisa, knowing all her efforts to learn Korean quickly to leaving her home country to become a KPop idol in a whole new country. He looked at her like a sister and would be there for her anytime she needed him. He helped Lisa with some of the choreography for tonight's performance, since they were performing their YG Swagged our version of Wonder Girls, So Hot. She was nervous because they were covering a song from JYP, so she needed to be on point.

"BlackPink! Please get ready. You're on in 5 mins". It was time to perform. Lisa nodded at her Unnies as they made their way beneath the stage, as they cubes above, would reveal them as soon as the music started.

Still feeling hyped, they all went backstage to freshen up after performing. A shared snack bar that was open to all Idols to freely help themselves, Lisa and Rosé quickly ran to get some snacks and water. Without noticing, Rosé accidentally bumped in EXO's Sehun. "Omo, I'm so sorry Sunbaenim. I didn't see where I was going!!", Rosé squealed. "Ah, no worries Rosé-ssi, it's an accident. After that performance, I absolutely understand. I won't hold you up from getting water and snacks. Have a good evening", Sehun spoke and bowed before he left. Lisa smiled and watched Sehun walk towards his members waiting at the opposite side of the hall. She was such a big fan of EXO. They were so talented. From all the awards they were winning, right down to their huge fandom. She often watched their videos based on the fact that their choreography was epic! Kai was her Bias due to the pure fact that he was a dance king! Any sort of interactions she would come across with EXO, her inner fan girl would try and escape, but she had so much will power that she controlled herself at that point of time and would wait until she was in the privacy of her room to let the raging fan girl squeal without holding back. Still in a frenzy, she quickly turned to follow Rosé, without checking to see if anyone was behind her, she blindly walked into something.. someone rather.. spilling her water on him..

"Oh! Omg! Mianhae! Mianhae! I'm so clumsy, I didn't mean to..", Lisa quickly spoke, turned to the snacks bar to grab some serviettes, in hopes of trying to dry/clean the spill on his shirt. She was so focused on trying to dry off the spill, it wasn't until a few seconds later, she realised she's touching a male's hard and firm chest. She didn't register who the male was in front of her until she looked up. Trying to calm her nerves and her blushing face, she looked directly into the eyes of the person, who is intensely staring back at her.. "Ah.. I'm sorry Jungkook Sunbaenim, umm.. well.. this is awkward..", as Lisa looked away quickly and scrunched up the serviettes that were used to dry off the wet spots on Jungkook's shirt. Jungkook could see that she was feeling uncomfortable, so he quickly spoke and smiled, "Lisa-ssi, Anneyong! Don't worry, it's fine, plus we are changing our outfits as we are performing just before EXO closes the show. Please don't stress". She looked at him and smiled widely. Jungkook couldn't help but take this opportunity to show her his bunny smile. He also didn't realise that he was in close view of her doll like features. He looked at her big brown eyes, her long eyelashes.. her cute button nose, her cheeks that he wanted to pinch so badly and then he looked at those lips. He wanted to use his thumb to swipe across her lower lip, just to see if they were real. They looked inviting. Lisa snapped him out of his thoughts and responded, "Thank you, Jungkook Sunbaenim! My Unnies would kill me if they saw this, especially Jennie Unnie. She knows how clumsy I can get when I'm hypo! Again, I'm sorry! I better get back to my Unnies. We look forward to your performance, Hwaiting!". Lisa Bowes and quickly ran towards Rosé who was stuffing her mouth with food.

Jungkook was stuck in a trance. He didn't respond back to her but watched her walk towards Rosé. "Holy shit! They are actually going to watch us!?", Jungkook thought to himself. It was known, unless you actually liked a group who would perform at these music awards, everything was for show. Knowing that the cameras would catch you watching a group or idol perform, you had to act like you were enjoying their performance. BTS was genuine, but they heard some gossip that not all idols enjoyed having to sit there and watch other groups perform. Not wanting to judge, he kinda thought BlackPink were one of the few groups to act this way. Boy, was he wrong!

"Ay, Jungkookieeeeee! Loverboyyyyy!", Jungkook heard someone yell out from across the other side of the hall. He turned back only to see BamBam, who had a smirk on his face and started walking towards Jungkook. BamBam didn't waste time and pulled him in for a massive hug. "Miss me? Or have you replaced me for my childhood friend!?", BamBam smugly whispered into Jungkook's ear. That earned BamBam a slap on the shoulder. "Yah! What are you talking about? She accidentally spilt her water on my shirt. She was apologising and I told her not to worry, that's all!", Jungkook said while frowning. "Hmm, you sure? I was standing over there and watched the whole thing go down. Why were you staring at my besty like a creep?, BamBam said and quickly ran away before Jungkook could grab him and strangle his neck. "Bye Loverboyyyyy!", BamBam shouted as he walked away leaving Jungkook at the snacks bar.

Everything happened quickly but played out so slowly in his mind. That was their first proper interaction, even if it involved getting water spilled on his shirt. After watching BlackPink's episode, he did exactly what he planned that night and stayed up for several hours, googling Lizkook/Liskook.  He watched so many videos, viewed so many edited pictures and thought that these fans of their so called ship were extremely talented.  He admitted to himself, that the pictures did seem real.  The more content he viewed, the more obligated he felt. Was he taking a liking to 'Lizkook'? Maybe he thought at first, but after that small interaction, he felt the need to keep his heart at bay and slowly make an attempt to at least become her friend.

"Lisa.. hmm, watch me, Doll..".  And with that, he smiled and made his way back to BTS' designated room.
