"Damn it, Noelle this is the last time I go on your water magic training," Asta said. He was a bit beaten, in his demon form, soaring through the sky aside Noelle.
"It's not my fault we got into this! It was pure coincidence!" Noelle yelled as she was soaring through the air in her Valkerie Dress, dodging black, blade-like wind slashes.
Damn, really, how did we end up fighting this guy?
--------- A Few Hours Earlier---------
It's been almost a month since Noelle and Asta's meeting in the Heart Kingdom's forest. Asta has been training with the spirit guardians and the other Clover Kingdom's Magic Knights. Noelle has been able to control her magic more efficiently than before. Her training with Undine was productive, of course, that would mean the queen of the Heart Kingdom would be watching as well.
They were in the queen's place where she was monitoring her people. While Noelle was controlling how long she can keep her Sea Dragon's Lair stable. She was holding her wand out with both hands extended, the sphere of water wavering for being held in the same position for hours. Within another few minutes, her arms gave out, letting the sphere of water rupture.
"Splendid! You did one hour more than your last!" Undine said excitedly clapping. Noelle, exhausted, gave a smile to Undine.
"It's only natural for me to get this right," she proudly said, panting.
"Yes, we can chalk this as best of eleven out of fifteen with an overall of... one-hundred and three out of two-hundred and eleven," Undine said, switching her sincere smile to an awkward one. Noelle hung head.
"That is very good progress, Noelle," The Heart Queen, Loropechka, said soaked by the water from Noelle's training.
"We're sorry to intrude Loropechika. Undine wanted me to train indoors today again," She said apologetically.
"It's fine, it gets lonely at times when monitoring the kingdom so I'm glad I can be a part of this when you train here," she said as she grabbed a set of dry clothes. She disappeared behind a wall of water made by Undine and began undressing. She reappeared with a yellow blouse and a long white skirt.
Loropechika can use water magic so elegantly. What can I do to have that type of power?
Noelle, for the majority of her life, has been shunned and ridiculed by her own family for her lack of control with magic; To see someone, who has the same power as them and do it better would make one feel envious. However, Noelle felt nothing but respect and admiration for the Heart Queen, which was why she is frustrated with herself.
Lolopechka promptly sat back down in front of the many screens she uses to monitor her kingdom.
"Now let's see what is going on with your friends' training," she said as she began looking for them. Noelle was still with a struggled look on her.
Okay, let's get this right. All I can do is train harder. Noelle began conjuring Sea Dragon's Cradle from her grimoire. Keep it calm, keep it stable. Don't let anything distract you and move it as far as you ca-
"-and there's Asta, training with Gaja and Luck," Loropechika said, interrupting Noelle's thought.
Asta? All of a sudden Noelle's magic became unstable and burst on her; Noelle accidentally drenched Loropechika again. There was a short pause at the moment.
"Make that out of two hundred and twelve," Undine said with a smile, breaking the silence.
Oops. Noelle stood there soaked with an awkward smile.
