Chapter 2: Alone in The Forest!?

-----Black Bulls Headquarters: Noelle's Room-----

"Ugh, that peasant is so stupid at times, it's not even funny."

There she was, her flustered face stuffed in a weird animal plush pillow. She was hiding all morning in her room from Asta and Undine, avoiding her confrontation with her unrequited love situation.  Click- There was a sound at the door. It swung wide open to reveal Vanessa, the drunken pink-haired witch who walks around in her underwear.  She began to walk unsteadily towards Noelle's bed, face-planted on the bed pole, fell down in pain, stood back up, and sat laid down on the sheets.

"Hey, Vanessa are you okay?" Noelle revealed her red face, competing with Vanessa's,  concerned with the scarlet witch's pain.

"I'm fine, this isn't the first time I've tripped while being tipsy. Besides what is wrong with you? You were screaming so loud that it snapped me out of my drowsiness"

Noelle tried to regain composure.

"It's nothing to worry about just a weird looking insect."

"Would that insect's name be Asta?" Vanessa said in a teasing tone. Noelle began to blush, confirming Vanessa's question. She let out a hardy laugh.

"Hahahaha- ahh, so what happened this time?" Vanessa said as she continued drinking.

Noelle tried to resist telling her, but she gave in and told her what happened with Undine. Vanessa drank another two bottles of wine by the end of Noelle's story.

"So you're saying that you have to be more open with your feelings to Asta in order to become stronger?"

"That is part of it but yes, that's correct" 

Just then, an orb made out of water entered through Noelle's window, and inside it was a letter. Noelle thought that it was mostly from Undine, she took the letter and the orb began to vanish. She opened and studied the letter.

"Undine said for me to come to the entrance of the Heart Kingdom's forest,"

"Well then, good luck with training"

"Thanks, Vanessa, I enjoyed this talk," Noelle said with a smile as she jumped out of the window and transformed into her Valkerie Dress, flying into the distant.

"That girl, she really is changing," Vanessa mumbled to herself while a smirk ran across her face. She then proceeded to throw up the amount of alcohol she consumed on the royal girl's bed.

---------Entrance of the Polnfrume Forest--------

Noelle believed that this was the place. Mimosa had said before that the Polnfrume Forest was near a village and was surrounded by trees filled with varieties of fruits. The Sun was still setting, but she could see a small figure at the entrance of the forest as she soared through the sky, slowly descending towards it. The closer she got, the keener her eyes described the figure. Short, buff, poor-looking, gray hair, a bit cute. It was no other than--

"ASTA?!" Noelle said aloud. The anti-magic boy heard his name come from the sky and replied to Noelle a huge smile and a wave. She slowly landed near Asta.

Okay, pretend as nothing happened earlier before. Pretend you as though you didn't have the talk with Undine. Pretend as though you didn't blast him with magic. Noelle kept repeating this until Asta spoke.

"Hey Noelle, did you see the village on the way over here? They're really nice people and have delicious food too. Miss Charmy would love this place." Asta said as they continued walking deeper into the forest.

"Yeah yeah, whatever, do you know why Undine called us out here?"

"Hmmm-Oh yeah! She said there was this magical fruit that can help with mana training,"
