Ever since Delilah and Hook entered the Dark Forest, Delilah couldn't quit replaying the conversation they had earlier.
Flashback
"If I knew where we are going, I could possibly ease some of those fears," and there was the pirate Delilah knew, the one who would always think for himself rather than others. It doesn't surprise Delilah, she knew he would say something like this.
"Where we are going is not of importance right now."
"Isn't it?" Hook ask, looking towards the forest himself as it gets closer and closer each time the horses take a step. "How do you know I don't know where this place is? How bad the trek to the place is? What if I have valuable information on this place that you need to know about?"
"How do I know you won't leave me the second you get this information?" Delilah questions him, not bothering to turn toward him as she continues. "You said so yourself, the only reason I'm here and is because you allow it. Why would I give up what information I have if you've already threatened my life, and my family's life, to get said information?"
Hook didn't know what to say to this. Delilah made a point, he knew she did, but why did it sting a little that she didn't trust him? Sure, he he did say he could easily kill her if he wanted to and that she's only here because he's letting her be here, but he did help keep her safe.
"Are you saying you don't trust me?" Hook finally ask, just as the horses stop right before they enter the Dark Forest, both seeming scared to enter. But, Hook didn't care because he was waiting for Delilah to answer his question.
"Are you saying you've given me a reason to?" Delilah ask before leaning down to Ember's ear, calming him down enough, and encouraging him into the forest. "Come on, boy, it'll be okay. We'll be back out in no time."
End Flashback
Delilah hates how she reacted to Hook, she made it seem as if he hadn't done anything to earn that trust. Sure, he did threaten her life and her family's life, but he's also helped her in many situations. He's given both reasons to not trust him and to trust him. Delilah just wishes he would make up his mind on how he feels about her.
One second, Delilah is sure Hook hates her and is just waiting till they have to leave each other. It's sometimes in the way he looks at her or the way he acts towards her. But, at other times, she swears she just might be warming up to him. Hook will sometimes look at Delilah with such a fatuated haze over his eyes, he'll treat Delilah like she's someone important to him.
Although, the only reason she would be important to Hook is because she's the only person who can get him the dagger. Delilah can't see any other reason.
While Delilah was in such thought, her gaze would occasionally slide to Hook as his horse walked beside her's. Hook noticed each time she did this, and he was getting annoyed every time he noticed. She would never say anything, just stare at him, make a face, before turning away with either a frown or a smile on her face. It only made it harder for Hook to read her.
Delilah at times was closed off, while others she was as open as a book. Hook could never tell what she was thinking, probably got so good at it from keeping her opinions to herself back in her castle. It only made him angry every time she was able to read him, but he was never able to read her. It almost wasn't fair how Hook seemed to let his emotions show while she kept it in a tightly locked box.
