Chapter 1: Fangirls

May and Drew were travelling together in Johto.

One normal day, they were heading to the Pokemon Center in a town which they just arrived in. 

While they were enjoying their little romantic alone time with each other, a girl rushed over from her original sitting place with her little group of friends and said, actually, squealed, "OMG girls! It's the Drew!"

Turning from her friends to Drew, she continued, "It's so an honor to meet you! Please be my boyfriend!" pushing May away, while leaning closer to Drew and fluttering her fake eyelashes.

Drew coughed from the strong smell of cheap perfume and heavy make-up powder, he was getting mad with her pushing may away like she's nothing, and definitely uncomfortable with her invading his personal space. He wouldn't mind May doing that though. Ahem, so he stumbled back by a few steps, but that didn't help him, the girls just followed him everywhere.

May and Drew both sweat-dropped anxiously in anime style as the girl's friends joined her surrounding and suffocating Drew, with May feeling a pang of jealousy growing in her stomach, and Drew eyeing and mouthing for her to help.

May have had just enough from them chasing after and flirting with her best friend and long-time-crush. 

"Stop it!" May shouted, feeling the annoyance in her voice. But no one heard her, except Drew maybe.

"ENOUGH!" She shouted even louder as she stood up, everyone's heads turned to her, she had a feeling that she was going to regret what she was going to do, but felt the fury inside her body was about to burst, so she mumbled to herself, "I'm doing this just to have him owe me, it's not like I'm jealous or anything, yeah, just to have him owe me."

She yelled again, "He is MY boyfriend, so stop bothering us and go away!", soon dragging him away from them by the wrist. Everyone were so shocked when they heard her say that, even Drew, (in a happy way but he would never admit it)

"Umm, excuse me? Who the hell are you? And if Drew was dating, it should be all over 'Coordinator's weekly'." One of the girls said.

"Umm, well, err, we're in a secret relationship! Yeah, secret relationship!" May exclaimed.

"Emm, Cassie? She is Drewy's famous rival, May Maple." Another girl spoke up to this girl who was talking to them, Cassie.

"What? She totally doesn't seem like that girl!" Cassie said.

"Well, how can I not seem like her? I am May!" May clarified herself.

"Hey Cass, I know we are big fans of Drew, but we also work in the Contestshipping department right? Should we report it to Mr. Harley first? Besides Jamie already recorded the video of her saying that, it'll be all over the news and the boss will definitely reward us for this!" Another girl whispered in Cassie's ear.

"Ugh fine, just for the rewards." Cassie replied to her.th

"Fine, we can't waste more of our precious time with you." Cassie continued as she and the other girls turned around and hurried away.

"Come on! Let's go before they come back! I don't want to deal with them again!" May said as she dragged Drew by the wrist and rushed in a different direction as the girls.

After a while of running, they finally stopped by Drew grabbing May's wrist, resulting in them holding hands. But of course, they were oblivious of it.

"What was that for! Besides, do you even know the way to the Pokemon Center?" 

"Hey! I'm not that clueless, although I do wonder where those girls were heading to, they were in such a hurry, besides I never thought they would give up so easily." May wondered aloud.

"Never mind them, it's not even our business. You say you know the way but we are headed in the wrong way." Drew stated matter-of-factly.

After a while of them freezing in position, May and Drew were both blushing heavily when they finally noticed that they were still holding hands, Drew was the first one to react as always, he retreaded his hand and said, "S-Sorry."

"Nah it's okay." May said, as the awkward silence continued to surround the air around them as they started heading towards the Pokemon Center. Both of them were both quite disappointed when they had to let go of each other's hands, although they would never admit it.

May started the conversation again, trying to break up the awkwardness and tension in the air, "Hey Drew, you should actually thank me. After all, I was the one who saved you from those crazy fangirls."

"Fine, alright, I guess you did save me, I owe you one." Drew said.

May was surprised that he didn't say or tease her about anything about her wanting him to be her boyfriend.

The awkward silence continued as they continued their journey to the Pokemon Center.
