Yn's POV

I waited patiently in the cart as August was checking out. I looked down at my phone and it was late. How long have we been in this store doe? August then started to load up the cart with groceries.

"Owe dammit why you put this soda next to me."

"Well maybe if yo ass wasn't in da cart," he did that 'hint hint' face. "Sodas wouldn't be hittin you."

"Shut up boy my feet hurt."

"Well actually, I'm a man." He said pushing the cart as we walked out the store.

"Oh forreal? Since when?"

"When I got yo ass pregnant." He laughed

I playfully rolled my eyes and searched through the bag for my peanut butter and pickles.

"Ion see how you eat that," he started. "That's like peanut butter and jelly.....wait no no I meant that's like peanut butter and ketchup, the shit don't mix."

I laughed. "Don't hate cause my tastebuds is on fleek and they ain't like yours."

"Done dodge a bullet then." He laughed.

I straight faced him making him laugh even harder. "Shut up."

He stopped the cart. "What ya say?"

"Shut. Up."

"Say sorry or Imma push this damn cart."

"Nope."

"Aight."

He then start running and pushed the cart. It was fun but tf what if I fall!

"August August stop me!"

"Nope." He said far away

"Please August!"

"Say sorry nd you love me!"

"I'm sorry and I love you!"

"Aight then," he ran after the cart and stopped me. "I luh you too." He smiled

"Yeah yeah can ya get me out this cart now?"

"Don't yeah yeah me, got a nigga saying he love you."

I laughed. "Okay August I love you too now may you please get me out this damn cart?"

"Don't say damn, ion want no cussing in my apology.

I sighed. "Drama queen. I love you too August now may you please get me out of this cart?"

He smirked and helped me out the cart. We then both walked back to the car and start putting the groceries in the trunk, except for my bag.

"Where are my nieces?" I asked.

"Uhh, I think they over Mel's house."

"Oh never mind."

"We can go get em if ya want." He said starting up the car.

"Nahh let em spend time with their dad." I smiled and he smiled back.

~Back At Home~

"How'd we meet again?" I asked

"At a store." He smiled

"Oh yeah, I remember you was flirting and stuff."

"Flirting? Nahh you was flirting with me."

"No I wasn't, you called me pretty."

"And you was checking me out and I know it."

"Okay and? You just cute."

"I'm sexy fuck you mean?"

"I mean you're cute, you so so."

"You wasn't saying that when I was in you." He mumbled

"Nigga I heard that." I laughed

"I mean you wasn't," he chuckled and his phone started ringing so he picked it up and answered it. "Hey mama...yeah she here with me wassup?...huh?"

That's when August dropped his phone. Everything got real quiet.

"Baby what's wrong?"

"M-Mel got s-shot."

My heart dropped...
