Tanjiro's POV
"DON'T KILL ME PLEASE! UPPER MOON 0"
My eyes widen. Upper Moon 0? Is there such demon exist?! I thought there were only 12 Demon Moons! Does Muzan have someone who's stronger than Upper Moon 1?
"Who is this Upper Moon 0?"
"Wh-what do you mean?..." the demon asked lifting his head.
"It's you, Tanjiro-sama" the demon answered.
"W-what?"
I'm confused and terrified at the same time. It's making me nauseous.
"What do you mean, I'm Upper Moon 0?"
The demon was still trembling that he didn't answered my question. I can't process what he just said. This must be a huge mistake! Right, this must be a work of a Blood Demon Art!
"You might be mistaken. I'm a Demon Slayer, not an Upper Moon!"
I looked at him and tighten my grip on my katana, "Tell me, where is Muzan?"
"........." He didn't answered.
Gripping my katana tighter I asked him again. "Where is Muzan?!" he aggressively shake his head telling me that he don't want to answer me.
Probably because of the curse implanted on them by Muzan. I thought.
Somehow I smelled a person running towards our direction. It's probably a demon slayer.
The demon sensed the upcoming demon slayer that he suddenly stand and ran away.
"W-wait! You still haven't answered my question!"
Breath of the Water. Fourth Form: Striking Tide
A Demon Slayer jumps on the roof and he manages to reach the demon and slashed his arms and neck. The slayer lands perfectly and sheathes his sword. The demon's head rolled over the floor and he started to disintegrate into ashes.
As I stare at the slayer's back, I realized who he is. He wears mismatched haori, no doubt about it who he is.
"Tomioka-san!" I called him.
Good grief he's fine and alive!
He turned around as he looked at me with a confused expression on his face "Who are you? How do you know my name?"
Why is he asking me like he doesn't know me? Does he hate me now?!
"Tomioka-san! It's me, Tanjiro! Where are the others? Are they okay?!" I asked quickly.
"What do you mean 'where are the others'? And do you say your name is Tanjiro?" He looked at me as if I'm suspicious. He stares at me for a few seconds on me but suddenly his eyes widen and he quickly stepped backwards and unsheathe his sword.
"T-Tomioka-san?" I asked him.
His expression was like from the demon, but for some reason I picked up an angry scent from Tomioka-san.
"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be hiding somewhere?" he asked deliberately.
Hiding somewhere? I don't smell any scent of concern or kindness in him. He's on guard.
And he asked me again, "And why are you wearing the Demon Slayer Corps uniform? Hmph, to think you could cover your aura to slip in. Nice try"
Is he being suspicious on me? Does he really not remember me?
