Dinner was eventually wrapped up. The Phantomhive boy was still seated, enjoying the last few bites of Sebastian's chocolate cake. Placing his fork down, the earl wiped his mouth with the large white napkin he was provided with. Alois was finishing up a slice of strawberry, playfully kicking his feet. He was beyond hyper now that he was staying the night at Ciel's. The blonde reached over, taking the boy's hand.
"Okay! Let's bathe together!~" Alois chimed, his eyes closed happily. A blush crossed the other's face, his eyes stretching wide.
"Huh- Ah!" Ciel gasped, once again being dragged off by the earl. Sebastian, who had returned from preparing the room, watched as his master was taken away. He gave a soft hum of amusement, readjusting his glove. He stopped, now looking at the spider butler.
"Oh my. What a turn of events we have, hm Faustus?" The raven cooed, now cleaning up the dining room table. Claude eyed him for a moment before stepping forward, picking up Alois' empty dish.
"Hm. I was quite shocked to witness your master agree." Claude said slowly, his golden eyes scanning the dish's elegant design that ran along the rim of the plate. He walked over, simply placing the plate on top of the stack that Sebastian was holding. He smirked faintly, his glasses reflecting as he smoothly adjusted them.
"He has quite the soul.." The spider licked the corner of his lips, his slim eyes laid upon the other. Sebastian stood silent, his eyes narrowing. He silently turned to the silver serving trolley, placing the dishes on top.
"Keep your grubby paws off of my Lord." The demon hissed quietly, his red hues glowing faintly for a moment before returning to their neutral colour. Claude kept his small smirk, finding it amusing and intriguing when Sebastian flicked his switch like that. The Trancy butler gave a simple shrug, his eyes closing.
"No promises." Claude replied, beginning to walk off. Sebastian silently watched him before pushing the trolley out of the dining room into the kitchen. The butler removed his work gloves, beginning to wash the dishes. His mind was now centered over the thought of his master agreeing to Alois' stay.
'What are my Master's motives?'
Sebastian thought to himself. His thoughts flashed back to how Ciel was watching the other butler. His Lord was always full of surprises, but this one was quite the stunner. The butler slowly rubbed the yellow sponge over the porcelain dish, his eyes distracted in the moment. He jolted, grunting faintly as he sensed someone enter the room. Turning around quickly, his hand was gripping the wet rag he had beside the sink. Sebastian was seconds away from releasing it, thinking that it was Claude who had entered. He paused, seeing that it wasn't the Trancy butler, but instead Bardroy.
"GAH-! S-Sebastian!" The blonde stuttered, backing up. His arms were in a defensive position, his instincts kicking in from his past life. Bardroy was squatting faintly, already taking cover behind a large stack of flour. Sebastian blinked once, looking at the servant. He smiled gently, lowering the towel.
"My apologies, Bardroy... I thought I caught a faint whiff of a spider." The demon simply said, turning back to the sink. Bardroy exhaled, his hand gripping his chef's uniform. Sebastian was as scary as he was at his job. Exceedingly strong. The chef slowly walked around the table, walking up to the other's side.
"Spider huh.." He murmured, the cigarette hanging out his mouth loosely. His blue eyes were eyeing the remaining pieces of the chocolate cake that sat on the counter. He could feel his mouth water, wanting a piece. Sebastian noticed this, his eyes dully looking ahead. Now drying the dishes, the butler turned around with a sigh.
