World's Best...Hot Chocolate

Less than an hour later I'm discharged from the hospital and in the back of a car on the way to Reid's apartment to spend the night with a complete stranger.

We stop outside what looks to be the nicest luxury apartment complex in the whole world. Not to be dramatic, but it looks much nicer than the hotel and that hotel was probably the nicest place I've ever stayed.

"Home sweet home," Reid gives me a bright smile as he grabs my hand and helps me out of the large car. He doesn't let go of my hand as we walk through the tall double doors and wander into the lobby. It takes my breath away. The marble floors and beautiful golden finish make me feel really out of my element.

I don't come from money like my friends. I'm not exactly poor, but we're definitely not very well off. My parents work hard every day to make sure that my siblings and I can have the life that we have. That means that we live in a modest house and not mansions like everyone else in the world seems too.

Reid doesn't stop to talk as we continue through the lobby to the elevator where he pushes the call button. We wait for a second before the elevator dings and wooden doors open for us to step in.

"Wow, this place is beautiful," I note as Reid pushes the button for one of the top floors.

"You haven't even seen my place yet," Reid says as we wait for the elevator to get to our desired floor.

My stomach drops as I realize the gravity of what I'm doing. I'm spending the night at a stranger's house with no way to contact my friends or get back to my hotel.

Before I can panic again the elevator doors open with a soft ding and Reid gently pulls me out and across the hall until we land outside a mahogany door. Reid drops my hand to unlock the door and I swear my jaw hits the floor when I see his place.

It's utterly breathtaking; it looks like one huge room. Reid flips the light switch and I can see his beautiful kitchen across from his living room with the dining room in the back. There's a huge bay window overlooking the most beautiful part of the city against the back wall. It's so fucking pretty.

"Wow," I can't help the amazement as we slowly wander into his apartment. Reid helps me sit down on a small bench by the door where he drops his keys and wallet before squatting down in front of me and taking freeing my feet of their very uncomfortable four-inch captors.

"Thank you, Reid, for everything. This was an insane night and I can't thank you enough for helping me," I can't help the ramble that escapes my lips but judging from the growing smile on Reid's face he doesn't seem to mind.

"I have absolutely no problem helping a beautiful girl in trouble," Reid's eyes drop from my eyes to my lips and I can't stop my eyes from doing the same.

I've never felt this kind of connection before, it feels like Reid and I are the only two people on the planet right now.

No Harris, no Nadia, and no bodyguards.

Reid's hands leave my ankles and settle on either side of my face as he slowly brings his face closer to mine.

"I swear  I didn't lure you here for this," Reid whispers right before he slowly connects his pillowy soft lips to mine. I don't miss a beat as I move my lips against his.

"So what did you lure me here for?" I ask after managing to pull myself away from the best kiss I've ever had.

"For some amazing hot chocolate of course," Reid let's go of my face and slowly stands up, reaching his hand out for me. Now that I don't have my heels I really notice our height difference. I'm a mere 5'3 and he looks to be about 6'2ish maybe. Why are tall guys so hot?

Reid gently leads me over to his kitchen and I plop down on one of his barstools while he gets two mugs down out of his cupboards and begins preparing our drinks. The tiredness  I was feeling before fades away as I watch with a smile as Reid bustles about making the hot cocoa.

Harris has never made me hot chocolate.

I know I just said that I'm not the type of girl that cheats on her boyfriend, but I mean it's not like Harris is going to ever find out- right? And what he doesn't know won't hurt him.

"Alright here is a cup of the world's best hot cocoa," Reid announces before he slides my mug to me from across the counter with a smug smile written across his lips. The lips that were just on mine a few moments ago. Damn, I'd love to feel those lips against mine again.

I've never been kissed like that before; so tender and soft- like if he went too hard I'd break or run away. Harris always kisses me hard and fast like he's afraid I won't be able to feel him or something but with Reid its very different.

A good different.

A really good different.

I slowly bring the mug up to my mouth and take a sip of what really is the world's best hot chocolate. Fuck, that's good. I feel like this is the hot chocolate that Hannah Montana's dad gave her and every kid always wanted to try.

It's better than that hot chocolate.

"This is really good!"

Reid's dimples reappear with his smile, "Well I hope it was worth being lured."

"It was definitely worth being lured," I look away as his eyes get more intense and my breath starts to quicken. I don't know what's going on with me, but I think I like it.

"You probably wanna grab a shower, I'm guessing," Reid says, breaking the silence we created.

I nod, knowing that after being on the gross club floor a shower is definitely warranted.

"Well, right this way then."

Reid leads me down a hallway and stops at a door at the end of the hallway. He opens it and my breath catches- I'm in his bedroom. There's a huge king size bed with a black comforter and a bunch of gray pillows. The room itself is amazing, there is soft white carpet and grey walls and another one of the huge bay windows overlooking the city.

Reid keeps walking and leads me into another door, his master bathroom. Once again the room is amazing. A huge shower and huge standalone tub, both big enough to fit several people.

"There's towels in that cupboard and I'll bring you in some fresh clothes, as hot as that dress is I can't imagine its comfy," Reid's eyes go down the length, or lack thereof, of my dress as he speaks and I feel my whole body ignite under his gaze.

He thinks I'm hot?

No, he said that dress was hot...although he wouldn't have kissed me if he didn't think I was hot, right?

"Thank you," Reid offers a nod before slowly leaving the bathroom and shutting the door behind himself.

I help myself to a nice hot shower, washing with his soap, and wrap in a nice big fuzzy towel after. Somehow the clothes I was promised are folded neatly on the counter so I dress in Reid's shirt which covers substantially more than my dress did so I don't even bother with the sweatpants he also brought.

They wouldn't fit anyway.

"You have a  really nice shower," I say so awkwardly as I step out of the bathroom and into his bedroom where Reid is currently shirtless and unmaking his bed.

"Yeah it certainly does the trick," Reid's eyes travel down my body once again and I feel hot, "So you can sleep in my bed and I'll take the couch." Reid looks back to his bed and gives it a pat.

"I don't mind sharing," I have no idea what comes over me as I climb onto the softest bed ever and find myself staring into a set of clear blue eyes. And I really don't know what comes over me when I  guide my lips back to his.

Or when he gets on top of me.

Or when he asks if I want to stop- and I say, "No."
