"Oh, hoh hoh hoh, looks like we've got a savior for mother dearest here." Mado cackles as he tugs his quinque back to him. "Ryouko, go" I order her, "Y-" she starts to say my name but I interrupt her, "Go! Please" I plead, the two investigators with guns take aim at her but their guns are pierced by shards that look like black feathers. They look at me and see my ukaku flowing in the wind behind me, Mado lets out an excited gasp, "A chimera? You will make a phenomenal quinque" he shivers with anticipation. "Ryouko...." I start, she looks up and realizes what I'm about to do. "NOW!" I order as I fire shards at the two behind us, they cover their faces and vital parts as my projectiles pierce their skin. Ryouko take this as her chance and she runs, she runs past them and sees Kaneki and Hinami running through the crowd, she catches up with them and tells them to keep running as they flee back to Anteiku. "Well then, that selfless act of bravery saved the mother, but it will be the last thing you do." Mado snarls as he whips his quinque at me, I jump up and bounce off the wall, I then fire my ukaku at the old man but he is saved by the larger, younger man who is holding a large bat like quinque. "Why don't you show us your face? Not every day we get to see a chimera and I'm dreadfully curious" Mado smirks as he reels back his quinque. I knew to hide my face so they couldn't find me after this so I threw up my hood, tied a piece of cloth around my lower mouth and stole a pair of sunglasses from a kiosk. "As fun as this is investigator, I've done what I came here to do. I saved my friend from you sick bastards. You're lucky I don't kill you, but next time we meet.... I will" I growl as my ukaku disappears. "Ahahaha, a chimera, a hero and a comedian? You really are a trophy" Mado cackles as he readies his quinque for another strike. "As flattered as I am, I really need to get going." I smirk, Mado sends his quinque after me but I pierce the ground with my koukaku and spin around, dragging the blade along the dirt, creating a smokescreen. Mado's quinque stabs the ground and whips around as he tries to wound me, but when the dust clears, I'm already gone and only a small pool of blood remains where I was.

Time Skip~

Touka Pov~

I enter Anteiku to see the shop was dark, the only light was from a room in the back. I walk back there and open the door, I see everyone sitting around looking grim. "Oh, hey, what's going-" I stop when I notice that Y/n, Hinami and Ryouko weren't there. "There was an attack" Yoshimura explains, "Hinami, Ryouko, Y/n?" I question desperately, "they are all alive, Touka don't worry" Yoshimura reassures me, "But..." Kaya sighs sadly.

I open the door to see Y/n laying on Ryouko's couch, his shirt off and a large bandage wrapped around his torso and shoulder. Ryouko sits next to him with a rag on his head, I run over and crouch next to him, "What happened?" I question, "He saved me, but apparently he took a bad hit from an investigator as he escaped." Ryouko sighs as she tends to him. I slam my fist down on the ground, "god damn it" I say angrily as I stare helplessly at him. "I'll be back" I say to Ryouko as I walk back to the room with everyone else in it, "so, what's our retaliation?" I ask as I walk in. "There will be none" Yoshimura responds, "What?! Why don't we just kill the doves and be done with it? Are you in Yomo? If we work together, we can beat them" I say. "Forget it, if we kill the doves in the 20th ward, it will attract attention, they'll send reinforcements hell bent on revenge, they'll hunt us to extinction" Yomo shakes his head. "but still-" "Drop it Touka!" he interrupts me, "Sorry I have to agree with Yomo, we cannot make a move against the dove. As much as I'd love for that to happen, we have to think of everyone's safety" Yoshimura agrees, "you're letting them get away with it, they nearly killed one of our own and your just gonna sit here and let it slide? What's Hinami gonna think? Or Ruta? What are they gonna think when they hear you're too scared to avenge their friend?" I yell at them, "The inability to take vengeance isn't cause for sorrow, if you truly want to pity someone, pity those who obsess over vengeance and forget to live out their own lives. "That supposed to be a jab at me old man?" I snarl and leave the room. I run back to Ryouko's room so I can help Y/n but I know what I have to do.
