8- Dear Lover

Leigh POV

When I woke up I was laying on top of Jade. I put my head in the crook of her neck and I had my hand resting on her exposed stomach. She had her arm around me and was holding me close.

I started kissing her jaw and whispering sweet nothings into her ear. This is my new favorite way of waking her up.

"Hi baby" she said with her raspy morning voice that I loved.

"Hey guess what?" I said already excited for today.

"What?" She said groggily.

"Today we go back home and I can break up with Andre and we can finally be together in public!"

"That's lovely babe, but can we rest a little bit more, we don't have to be at the airport until 12pm and I want to cuddle some more."

"Fine, but we have to pack soon." I said as I snuggled closer to her, laying my head on her chest.

"Alright babe, I think it's time to get up, we don't wanna miss our flight do we?" She said in a funny accent.

"You're right, I'm getting up now."

We got dressed, packed, called Tayla and MNEK and said bye and thanked them for the lovely writing sessions, then headed to the airport.

We got onto our private jet, which we had to take because we have to go to rehearsals tomorrow and the label wants to make sure we make it on time.

On the jet there was a small couch-like seating area and some tables and chairs.

I sat down on the couch while Jade sat in one of the chairs near the table.

"Hey you, come over here!" I said in a teasing tone.

"Fine" she replied as she rolled her eyes and walked over to the couch. I grabbed her waist and pulled her onto me, making her giggle.

It's the cutest sound ever.

I made her sit on my lap, facing me. She put her forehead on mine and looked into my eyes. She has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen.

"I'm kind of nervous about breaking up with Andre, he might think it's coming out of nowhere and get mad. I really do care about him, even though I don't love him anymore and I don't know how he's going to react."

"I think he might be sad or a little bit angry but if you're not happy in that relationship then you shouldn't be in it. It's not fair for him if you stay in that relationship and you don't love him. Plus once you do break up with him, I'll be here for you because I love you."

"I love you too Jade"

I gave her a little kiss and we cuddled up on the couch and took a nap during the rest of the ride.

When the plane landed, Jade wished me luck and then we parted. She was going to her flat and I have to go have a serious conversation with Andre.

I unlocked the door to find Andre on the couch with Harvey and Kyro (our dogs).

"Hey Leigh! How was the trip?"

"It was good! How are you?"

"I'm alright, I got off of work early since we don't have a game this weekend."

"That's great."

I sat down on the couch facing him and tried to prepare myself.

"Why so serious all the sudden Leigh? Are you alright?"

"Actually not really, I had a lot of time to think while I was in America and I think that we are drifting apart emotionally."

He looked shocked. But not totally shocked, as if he knew this was coming eventually but didn't know it would happen today.

"I um... I know what you mean, like with out jobs we hardly ever get to see each other. I'll make it better though, I'll try to be home more often" he started suggesting.

"No Andre, I don't think this is going to work and I don't want you to sacrifice your job to be here with me. I think it would be better if we break up."

"Are you serious Leigh-Anne?! After everything we have been through? Four years and you want to throw it away just like that? I said I would try to make it work, why don't you just give me a chance?" He yelled, standing up from the couch.

"I can't do this anymore, I need someone that can and will always be there and with our jobs, it wont work out, I'm sorry. Stop screaming at me, you knew this was coming eventually." I explained, standing up and moving towards him.

"Is that all? You just don't think it will work out because of our jobs even though I said I could work around it?! I WANT TO MAKE THIS WORK! I don't understand what I'm doing wrong?"

"I TOLD YOU TO STOP YELLING AT ME! I DON'T LIKE IT AND ITS NOT YOUR EFFORT THAT'S THE PROBLEM, ITS YOU! I don't love you anymore."

I don't know it that was the right thing to say but I didn't know how else to make him understand it. He looked angry and broken at the same time.

"Ok, I'll stop yelling. But if you don't love me anymore, is there someone else? Because I still love you and I won't tolerate anyone stealing you away from me." He said in a very harsh tone.

"Excuse me, first of all that is none of your business! Secondly, I don't belong to you, so you can fuck off and get over yourself! I'm done with you!"

I'm fuming, I can't believe that dick thinks that I belong to him, he doesn't own me. Fuck him. I grabbed my still unpacked suitcase and began to head towards the door when he grabbed my arm.

"I can't believe you are walking out on me, I was nothing but good to you!"

"You're a dick! I don't belong to you and you have treated me like unimportant trash before! I'M DONE WITH THIS!" I said as I opened the door. "And by the way, there is someone else, and SHE actually deserves my love!"

The look on his face when I walked out of the house was priceless, proves him right, he shouldn't have said I belonged to him.

I put my suitcase in the car and drove to the person that always cheers me up.

"Leigh babe are you alright? Come inside." She said when she opened the door.
"Thanks Pez, I don't know what to do." I said as I walked into her house with tears streaming down my face.
