~Chapter two: You Can't Tell~

I couldn't believe the news I had just gotten by letter so I decided to run up the many stairs to the second floor which is where all the girls had their dorms, on the way up the stairs I nearly shed a tear but I managed to luckily keep it in, I soon reached my sister, Lauren's room and gave a little sigh making sure I hadn't accidentally let out a tear, once again I sighed and raised my fist and knocked on the grey door. I heard one of the iron beds squeak then heels clank on the wood floor, I saw the gold rusted doorknob turn then the door opened revealing Mackenzie. I was kinda embarrassed to of been seen like this by her though I kept a straight face though she didn't, she was once smiling though when she saw how I looked her face fully dropped, she now looked venerable and sympathetic after a second she motioned for me to come in I gave her a very tiny smile and sat on Lauren's bed while all of the other girls walked out of the dorm closing the door behind them. "What's wrong John? Lauren asked comfortingly. "If I don't pick up my grades I will get kicked off the team and I told Lily and she dumped me," I said while crying. Lauren quickly embraced me in a hug and handed me a tissue to wipe my few tears. "I'm not sad about Lily, i just don't want to lose my popularity and my life that I worked so hard to create" I whispered into Lauren's ear as it was still resting against my cheek. After a minute we each retreated to a normal position next to each other. "I may know how to get your grades up John." "How?" I question her. "Her name is Mackenzie!" Lauren replied. I look at her with a weird face and instantly repeat the word no. "Come on John she is one of the smartest people either of us know just try it, please? Once Lauren says this she pouts and rubs my back. "Oh fine!" I say with a huff, then she smiles and stands up then says she is going to go get Kenzie and to stay where I was sitting. She closed the grey door behind her and I hear her walk away, I decide to disobey my sister and I stand up and walk around the room. Next to my sisters bed was Kenzie's bed and all of their friends beds scattered around the dorm. Because Kenzie's family is so wealthy they were able to afford a room with indoor plumbing in the dorm room so easily yet she's really nice and sassy and doesn't act like a rich snob that she technically is. I hear more footsteps so I quickly return to Lauren's bed, the door then swung open revealing both y sister and Kenzie she smiled at me yet still looked confused which made me confused. "Kenzie I need you to do something for me," Lauren smiled at her then told her everything I had told my sister before. And instead of Kenzie saying something supportive she said well I'm not surprised you are failing you never study, it hurt. "I don't like you all that much but just this once I will help you," she then smiled at me and I returned the smile. "Well a least you won't be any less popular because you are now single!" I chuckled at that...
