Fighting Reality

Darkness is pressing down on me

Reality holds my tongue and sneers.

All I can do is freeze as she feeds me the fruit of the poisonus tree

I can't fight, not after all these years.

Light scuttles away in fear

Leaving me helpless

Reality wants me to understand, crystal clear

To her, I am worthless.

I can't fight anymore

There's nothing left that she hasn't shattered

I never do, but I whisper a prayer

What's left of me is scattered

Reality is wearing me down

Picking me apart and laughing

Pushing me down and spinning me around and around

One last look, my hands are bound.
