The Story of a Guinea Pig

Chapter 10: The Run

We have all heard stories from Oreo, about how she wanted expore the world, and make adventure. She stated that she wanted to explore and find new things beyond our home, and find other creatures, to meet and make friends with.

 Although I have never been interested in exploring the world. I have always been the type of guinea pigs who is dedicated to my home, and says, "Home, Sweet Home".

 Well today, she literally, made a run for that dream.

 So today, the Humans decided to take outside. Which was exciting, due to the fact that we rarely get to explore the outside world. As for the babies, and Oreo, the outside, was all new to them.

 Vinnie I explained that it was a land full of food to eat and enjoy, and that it was fun to explore.

 I guess Oreo took that the wrong way.

 So we get outside, and Vinnie and I, our intantly put on the ground to eat, the babies our kept in our home, and Oreo is held by on of the humans. I assuming that the humans did not trust Oreo just yet, as this was her first time outside.

 But a few mnutes later, our humans put her on the ground. So Vinnie and I, tell to take a munch on the grass. Instead she waits there for about 10 to 15 seconds, and then all of a sudden, zips away!

 She ran like lightning, she zoomoed in one direction and went for this big wall, were she found a whole under it, and crawled through. The Humans scrambled after her. Vinnie and I both called for her to come back, but she pursued her dream and went to explore, by running away.

 The humans each went a different way to capture her. Oreo was wise, and hid under a bush. Although the humans spotted her, she was difficult to reach under the bush. They eventually captured her, although she was not punished, I think Oreo learned her lesson, she ain't exploring the world.

 We all were just very shocked at this event. As we were in no such way, expecting her to run away like that. The rest of the day went fine, we chatted a little bit, and talked about what had recently happened outside. Vinnie and I both told Oreo, that next time, she should try to enjoy the grass, as we think it tastes good.
