The Date+ a secret unvealed (re-edited version)

When I got to his house, he opened the door and was kinda surprised I came so early. He was in sweats and was shirtless. I mean I've seen him shirtless before during practice but this was like a whole other level. Snap that thought out of your brain I thought. He welcomed me in and I sat on the couch.

"I'll be right back" Parker told me

His dad came into the living room and saw me on the couch.

"Lea! I heard you were coming over today." greeted Mr. Fitzgerald

"Hi Mr. Fitzgerald!" I acknowledged

"Lea, we've been over this, when we aren't at school call me Liam, it's short for William." He reminded me

"Alright Liam"

"So what are you guys gonna be doing? I know what you guys have planned but I wanna hear it from you." He questioned

"So we are gonna study till around 5 and then go have dinner and watch a movie." I affirmed

"I see, just be safe and if you choose to study in Parker's room keep the door open and if you need me I'll be in my office." Liam informed me

"You don't have to worry about us"

Then Parker entered the room with a sweatshirt on.

"Hmm, after yesterday, I don't think I can take that risk." explained Liam "call for Edaline if you need any snacks or anything"

"Will do Dad" grumbled Parker

I took my bag and started walking to Parker's room. Behind me I heard Liam and Parker arguing about something. Parker walked up behind me a few minutes later and we went to his room (we kept the door open) and started on Math. We talked a bit and helped each other. Edaline brought us a few snacks. A few hours later he mentioned yesterday.

"So about yesterday..." he started

"yea?"

"The kiss? And me telling you I like you? And tonight?" He asked

"What are you saying, Park?"

"I'm saying why don't we make things official. Will you be my girlfriend?"

"Parker... I will but we have to keep things a secret. Date secretly cause my dad isn't..." I trailed off

"Yea I get it. That's fine."

We studied for about an hour before I mentioned what I heard downstairs to Parker.

"Parker, I didn't mean to eavesdrop or anything and I'm not trying to get into anyone's business but, what were you and your dad arguing about downstairs after I went up here?

"Oh um that, you heard that? Well..." he started to trail off, scratching the back of his neck.

"It's ok, you don't have to tell me" I said quickly

"No, no I want to tell you. My grades haven't been as good this year and my dad said that if I don't get them up then... I'm off the athletics team. And I mean you guys need me. I'm co-captain with you so, it's really important that we finish studying" Parker explained

And with that we kept studying until it was 5pm. Parker went and changed into something nicer. We left his house at around 5:30 and went to the mall. (FYI, we took an Uber)

We decided to eat at Chili's. I ordered a shrimp fajita while Park ordered a steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables. After we finished it was time to pay the bill. I took out the money my dad gave me to spend but we kept arguing on who would pay. In the end, we decided to pay half each for the food. He would pay for the movie tickets while I would pay for the snacks.

We decided to watch Shazam 2. For snacks we got 2 nachos servings and 2 caramel popcorn boxes. And some drinks of course. We cuddled up in the seats as we watched the movie. It was really good but the best part was just being there with Parker. After the movie we got an Uber and went home since it was 11:45 and by the time I got home it was 11:56. While I was walking to the house, Parker grabbed my arm and pulled me to him. Then he kissed me.

I got into the house at 11:59. Wooh, just made it. My dad was waiting for me. He saw us. My dad told me we would talk in the morning. I went up to my room, changed into something comfy and sat in bed thinking of what could be next and Parker and I's future together. I also remembered I had to get Park a present tomorrow and after all that thinking, I fell asleep.

I woke up the next morning, took a shower, changed and left the house. I texted Ava where I was. I had a learners permit but had to have an adult be in the car to drive so I just got an Uber to the nearest Nike store. I got some Jordans, some shorts and a shirt for Parker. I also may have gotten new sports shoes for myself but only cause I needed new ones. Then I took an Uber home.

I got home and found my dad. He seemed really mad and I could tell I was in trouble. I dropped my bags and went into the kitchen.

"Amelia Grace Macintosh!! You left the house without my permission and you used a lot of money! You're so grounded!! You can't leave the house without telling me and I'll be taking your credit card for a month!" Dad fumed

"Ugh, dad, I just went to get something for a friend and besides I texted Ava where I was going and I knew since you track me, you would see my location and get a notification that I used my card!" I shouted

I got a water bottle from the fridge and took a sip. Then I went into the living room, where my dad was and put the bottle on the table in front of me.

"Who did you go to Nike for?"

"Check my credit card but if you must know I got a few things for Parker cause it's his birthday. He has a party today." I explained

"You are  allowed to go to the party after we talk about yesterday."

"Alright, when I went over yesterday we talked about what happened on Friday and he may have asked me to be his girlfriend but we wanted to keep it a secret but I can't do that with you tracking me 24/7/365, dad. Have you ever thought that you tracking us is annoying and isn't respecting our privacy by any chance?" I requested

I drank a sip of water from my water bottle but didn't swallow it.

"I have Lea but it's better for you and it helps me know you're safe. I only track you guys because... you have a brother who was kidnapped." Dad explained

I spit the water from my mouth on my dad.
