Ch.5 || Volleyball's Setter Isn't For Me ||

A/n: Thank you for the votes and the support you all are amazing I know there was little of Kyotani in the first 2 chapters but I'm sure for now on you'll be seeing him a lot more anyway I hope you're enjoying this story! 

~ Y/n's P.O.V ~

"Alright, so It'll only be a few hours ok?" I said looking at my B/n who nodded in reply as we walked into the gym. 

"Y/n you made it come on!" April said with a grin on her face as I walked over to her wearing basic gym shorts and a top. "Coach Myers this is Y/n L/n, she's an old friend of mine and an excellent setter," April said to the coach who looked down at me with a grin on her face.

"I expect a lot from you Y/n," She said with a grin on her face making me nod in reply.

"I hope you don't mind me bringing my little brother to watch?" I asked as she nodded with a smile on her face, I looked down at my brother telling him to go sit by the benches handing him my bag as he nodded running over to the benches and sat down.

"Alright let's go, ladies, two different teams" Coach shouted out explaining what was going on. I was put on a team with April and a few other girls.

~ Time Skip ~

I looked at my hands clenching my fist thinking to myself. "It doesn't feel right to me" I mumbled with a sigh before continuing to help clean up the balls.

"So Y/n what do you think?" April asks with a grin on her face, I looked at her with a sad smile.

"It doesn't feel right for me April...sorry" I muttered making April frown at me, I sighed walking over to my bag area then my eyes widened looking side to side not seeing B/n anywhere. I ran out of the gym with my bag on my shoulder looking around the school until I came to the boy's gym area seeing B/n was in here and talking to Kyotani. 

I felt my sigh in relief slamming the door open, I jumped slightly not meaning to make it that loud to draw everyone's attention with the door. "Meep!" I squeaked looking at the door with widened eyes.

"Big sissy!" B/n called out with a grin on his face, I noticed a ball heading towards him which made my eyes widen.

"Watch out!" Someone shouted making B/n stop looking towards the direction the ball was heading at him.

"B/n!" I called out running over and jumping up high in the air grabbing the ball before landing on the floor with a long sigh of relief.

"Ahhhh Kitten~Chan!" Oikawa called out while running towards me with a grin on his face, my eyes widened making me crouch down so he went right over me and B/n landing on the ground with a thump. "So mean" He muttered standing up, I didn't notice B/n run over to Kyotani I was to busy giving Oikawa a glare with my arms folded. 

"Y/n! Kyotani is gonna show me his cool spikes!" B/n called out making me look over at B/n then Kyotani then back to B/n with a small smile on my face then I frowned walking over to him sitting on my knees wrapping my arms.

"Yes but you are now grounded for not telling me when you ran off to, I was worried" I pulled away frowning at him as he frowned looking down at the ground.

"I'm sorry..." He muttered in a sad tone, I sighed wrapping my arms around him again. 

"I'm glad your ok though," I said standing up with him attached to my hip, I turned to look at Kyotani with a smile. "Thank you for watching him for a bit" I smiled shyly at him.

He grunted looking away to the side with a slight pink tint to his cheeks, I glanced to the side seeing Oikawa and Iwaizumi heading directly towards us. "L/n~san how was tryout on the girl's volleyball team?" Iwaizumi asked folding his arms.

"Volleyball Setter isn't for me, just didn't feel right to be playing again don't get me wrong I loved it but sadly I couldn't for some unknown reason" I sighed as B/n buried his face on my neck yawning and closing his eyes. 

"Ehhh why not become our manager then!" Oikawa said with a grin on his face.

I blinked a couple of times. "What?" I asked blankly thinking I wasn't hearing him right.

"Our Volleyball Manager we've been looking for one for ages like a proper one and you seem to know your stuff so why not?" Oikawa said with a stupid grin on his face, I blinked a couple of times thinking for a moment. 

"I'll think about it" I muttered the word 'manager' stuck in my head, 'what would it be like to be a manager' I thought to myself. 

"Sis can Kyotani walk with us he's my favourite" My eyes widened at that looking down at B/n then at Kyotani who seemed shocked but quickly recovered. 

"Sure I'll get my stuff" He grunted slightly walking out of the gym. 

"Ehhh maybe it is a good idea kitten~chan is gonna be here Iwa~chan, this is the first time I even see mad dog~chan acting like this unless you're scolding him," Oikawa said with a grin looking at Iwaizumi while I just deadpanned.
