A cold breeze was blowing, faintly humming. In a rocky bank, a little white pony kept nudging its little head to an unconscious figure who was laying on his stomach. After a few minutes, the tightly shut eyes slowly opened and stared at the dim sky for a few seconds.
"Prince Aiji...!"
Vince suddenly got up, not caring about his aching body.
"Prince Aiji!" He yelled, but there was only the sound of water falling in the distance, frogs croaking and insects chirping.
Vince stood and felt the vine that was tied on his wrist. He eagerly pulled the vine. There was resistance on the other end. With his aching body, he strode, tracing the vine.
Under the shade of a tree, a few meters where he laid, he found the unconscious prince. Little red was squatting and shaking on his side, unable to make any sounds. Vince immediately carried the prince to the rocky riverside.
Under the dim moonlight, Vince saw prince Aiji's pale face and felt his cold body.
"Prince Aiji, wake up...! Please wake up!" He yelled, but there was no sign of the prince waking up.
Vince's heart was jumping on his chest. He examined the prince's body closely.
"He is not... breathing! No, you cannot die!"
With shaky hands, Vince took off the prince's coat and pumped his chest, then opened the tightly shut mouth, to revive Prince Aiji.
As his mouth touched the prince's cold lips, Vince was frozen for a moment.
"Why does it feel... familiar?" He was lost in his thoughts when Red, who followed them, faintly wailed. Vince's lost thoughts were pulled back and immediately resumed his act of reviving the unconscious prince. He repeated it twice, but there was still no sign of the Prince waking up.
Vince was getting desperate. He did it again until those innocent eyes slowly opened.
Prince Aiji slowly regained his consciousness while Vince was giving him mouth to mouth for the third time. After realizing what was going on, those innocent eyes opened wide.
"What are you...doing...?" After a light cough, a soft, weak voice asked.
"Prince Aiji, you're awake! How are you feeling?!"
"What did you do...?"
"I was trying to revive you. You didn't breathe, so I gave you some air, fortunately, it worked."
Those pairs of innocent eyes turned gloomy.
"How are you feeling?" Vince was still worried. The prince almost lost his life!
"I'm... fine."
"That was a ferocious ride, I'm glad we are okay, and the little animals too. But our raft is nowhere here, we lost our extra clothes and weapons."
The prince was still quiet. He was unusually quiet. Vince was anxious.
"Prince Aiji, I will make a fire, and find some food. Wait here for a while." Vince untied the vine that bound them, coiled and kept it. He left the uncommunicative prince to make a fire and find food. He thought that Prince Aiji was cold and hungry, hence, he was not feeling well.
A campfire was burning in a few minutes. Vince then roasted yams and crabs he picked at the riverbank. He then fed Red ripe bananas while Gorgeous weakly rested on the side.
The dinner was cooked but the prince was still dispirited on the corner. It bothered Vince. He was hoping that the prince didn't get some internal injuries.
