Bad Experience

"Leia. Get here now". My mum aggressively shouts, I look at Daniel and quietly whisper "sorry" whilst walking away giving him a nervous smile. My mum gives me an annoyed look and says "You're taking too long" and pulls me me away. She looks me dead in the eye and says "What was that" I said "I don't know what you mean" I knew exactly what she meant "Now, don't you try that old trick with me, i did it with my own mother." She sigs and then exclaims "Leia, listen, I don't wanna argue with you, but you know what happened last time you had any boy relations and I'm just scared that it'll happen again, I'm worried for you!! And I feel helpless." I then muttered "Mum I understand that you're scared, but because of that one bad time, doesn't mean that I can't be friends with other boys? Right? It was just a bad experience and I was unlucky. She sigs again and says "I know, I know, I'm sorry, just.. yeah just make sure that this boy is a nice person.. an- and wouldn't cause any harm to you.  I smiled and said "Thankyou, Mum." And gave her a big great warm hug, I breathed in the smell of her perfume on her shoulder which smelled like fresh cherries, It was better than the polluted air. I almost shed a tear. I feel asif she's finally let go, not entirely, because I don't think either of us ever will, but she's giving me a chance. She's giving him a chance. And I'm proud of her for that. It took her quite some time, but she got there. I guess good things really do take time. We walk back to the car. I then realise, Daniels gone. I look around sadly, In the hopes that maybe he's still here and I'm just blind. I thought to myself Maybe I shouldn't have been so mean, and maybe then.. he might've stayed but I guess I'll never know because that's the choice I took, I hoped one day I'd see him again, because I really did feel something with him, yeah I might've been a bit rude, but only because he was asking who I was when he was sitting at the back of MY family's car but after that he seemed alright. Daniel Cole Ryder, I'll remember you. Call me dramatic, but, I felt something real with him, I felt so safe, I felt protected, like not a bad thing in the world could hurt me, his presence did that to me. I really hoped I'd see Daniel again.
