A Rain Romance

I finally woke up around two hours later I'm feeling a little bit nauseous but I'll just take some pills. I walk downstairs to grab paracetamol from the medicine cabinet and get a glass of water. I swallow the pill. I then pour the rest of the water down the sink. I go to the fridge to go get something to eat but of course, we have nothing. I then decide I'm gonna go get dressed and go to the shop to get us some food since we don't have any. I run up the stairs, get dressed and put on my shoes, and brushed my hair and then my teeth. I run back downstairs and take the money off of the counter and leave the house. I didn't really know where I was going so I used my 4g to see where the closest shop was. Ah just one around 7 minutes away, perfect. I start walking there. When I finally arrived I saw the least expected person in there. It was from Daniel. I went up to him and asked him what he was doing there, and he asked me what was I doing here? I said, "I moved here just today around 4-5 hours ago, what about you?" He said, "I've lived here my whole life". I exclaimed "You were the last person I ever expected to see" and gave him a warm giggle. He brightly smiled and rolled his eyes. I was really happy that I saw him. I think he was happy he saw me too. I then said "Where did you go this morning? My mum pulled me away and when I came back you were gone? Did I do something?" "No, no." He said, "I needed some space to think, and I didn't want to interrupt, and neither did I want to upset your mother further. So I just thought it was better if you never saw me again and just left." "But- I don't think that" "I know I was rude when I first met you and I'm very sorry, but I really would like to be friends with you. You seem like a chill guy, and plus, I don't really know anyone else around here." I said. He sighed with relief, "I'd really like to be friends with you too Leia" He smiled, and I smiled back. "Wanna help me pick out some food?" I said, "Sure" Daniel exclaimed. We walked around the shop looking for some needed food essentials, like butter, milk, eggs, ham, bread, flour, sausages, then we moved on to the better stuff, like, croissants, ketchup, popcorn, sausage rolls, pork pies, cake. Then it came out time to split. We stood outside the shop, and then he asked me for my number so we didn't lose touch, I said sure, and gave him my number. We then hugged, his cologne smelled so good. I didn't want to let go, I just wanted to stay in his warm embrace. But eventually, I had to let go. I let go first, I said, Bye Daniel, and gave him one last hug. I then started walking back home, and it started to rain, I was so cold, and I didn't bring a jacket or anything with me I was shivering I could feel my fingers turning blue. But then I heard Daniels voice from behind me calling my name "Leia, Leia- wait! Leia!" I turned around and said "Yes Daniel?" He stared me deep in the eyes, "Daniel I haven't got time to mess around I'm freezing I've got to go-" His lips were pushed up against mine, one hand on my face and the other on my waist holding me close. We must've kissed for what felt like a lifetime. I wasn't complaining, But why did he kiss me? Do kisses mean as much to him as they do to me? I pulled back and said, "Daniel, what- what are you doing, why did you do that?" I wasn't annoyed by it but I was annoyed by how I hardly knew this boy and he was already making me fall in love with him. That's why. Stupid beautiful goddam Daniel. He then said to me "I- I don't know why I did that, but Leia I feel so close with you and I hardly know you, I don't know why but I needed to kiss you, I couldn't stop myself. I tried, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you" He looked defeated, upset, let down, embarrassed, hurt. "Daniel," I said, "I.. feel the same way" His face lit up, he said "Let me drive you home" and gave me his hoodie. I smiled and said "Thankyou, and thankyou" We jumped in his car, and we put some quiet music on "Big Jet Plane" by Angus & Julia Stone. Gosh, the music was really putting me in the mood because all I wanted to do was just kiss him. But I held myself back. We finally turned up at my house, he jumped out the car and opened the door for me, we had rain pouring all over us, dripping off of our faces and clothes. He stood in front of me and kissed me on my head. I smiled and gave him a hug. And then finally, I was inside.
