Based on Honest by The Band CAMINO (Modern AU)

Are we something to each other
Or are we just blowing smoke?
Are we caught between the covers
Or is there something more going on in between us, or not?
Is it just on the surface, or what?

You groaned as you rolled over and felt the cold, empty space next to you in bed. She had left in the middle of the night, again. She had been doing this for three months now. You knew she wouldn't stay, there was nothing serious going on between the two of you, but you still wondered what it would be like if she actually spent the night in your bed. Although you couldn't complain about your current arrangement with Elsa. Shitty day? Just call Elsa and ask her to come over so you can let out all of your frustration on her perfect body. Worked the other way too. If Elsa needed to blow off steam, you were the one she called. It was a purely sexual relationship. There was nothing serious, and that was the way you intended for it to stay. A surface-level connection was all you needed with her, at least that's what you told yourself every time you woke up without her there.

Do you feel it when you kiss me?
'Cause I know you do somehow
I don't know when we got where we got
But we're both here somehow
And I thought it was nothing until now

Six months later, Elsa pressed her lips to yours teasingly, and when she pulled away you saw a little something more than lust swimming in her eyes. You couldn't figure out what it was but it sat at the back of your mind. She grabbed her tv remote and flipped through the channels until she found something that she wanted to watch. She looked at you with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"Uh-oh, I know that look. What is it?" You joked.

"Let's order pizza." She suggested.

You laughed at her, agreeing as she opened up the app for your favorite pizza place. She ordered two pizzas for the two of you, and you were concerned you couldn't eat that much.

"Don't worry, we'll be burning lots of calories later." She smirked, running a suggestive hand down your body.

You gulped and nodded softly. She chuckled at your reaction before turning her attention back to the television. You felt her scoot closer to you and you were about to make a flirty remark when you felt her head rest on your shoulder. You instinctively wrapped your arm around her, which in turn caused her to cuddle closer to you. Cuddling, and hanging out before and after sex had started becoming a normal thing for you.

'Jesus, when did we start doing this?' You thought to yourself.

You couldn't remember the first time you ended up cuddled against one another, but you knew it had been happening for a few months. You had never thought about it until you saw whatever it was you saw in Elsa's eyes. Maybe she was starting to catch feelings for you. And maybe, just maybe, you reciprocated those feelings. If they existed. You were so deep in thought, you didn't hear the knock at the door. You felt Elsa shift to look up at you.

"Y/N? Hey, stop zoning out and get the door for the delivery boy." She interrupted your thoughts.

Your face reddened, as you sheepishly stood. Elsa has already paid for the pizza through the app, but you pulled some cash out of your pocket. You opened the door and took the pizza from the kid, handing him $20.

"Oh, you already paid for-" He started.

"I know. That's a tip for you." You chuckled at him.

"Oh, um, thank you! Have a nice day." He gave you a shy smile.

"No problem. You too." You returned the smile, closing the door as he left.

You carried the pizzas into Elsa's kitchen, and she shuffled in behind you.
