Hanako x Yashiro *Something more?*

Morning of the 31st

I woke up with a sudden pain caused by a weight in my hand, and quickly opened my eyes to see what it was. My eyes locked on Aoi-chan's face, who clumsily apologized for stepping on my hand.

I sat on the mattress and yawned, according to my smartphone it was 7:30 a.m, we had 30 minutes before school opened and 1 and a half hour for classes to begin.

I put on my uniform, I didn't bring any change of clothes since me sleeping at Aoi's was a last minute decision, so it was the same I wore the other day. I folded the pajama my friend borrowed me for the night and gave it back to her.

- What are you going to do on school this early? - She asked me when we were brushing our teeth, luckily she had a spare teeth brush that I could use

I thought about my possible answers, but I didn't feel like lying to Aoi-chan.

- I'm going to search for the haunted clock of your rumor

- Really? That sounds fun. - she stopped to rinse - Can I go too?

I was going to deny it without even considering it, but I realized she could end up being useful. It was a little dangerous, but the more people looking for the clock the best.

- Yeah. But I think we should split up, this way we have more chances of finding it.

- Oh, so should I invite Akane-kun too?

Actually I was planning to do that myself, since it could had to do with that person's watch, but it made sense for Aoi-chan search with him, she didn't see supernatural things so searching on her own would be tough, and I was afraid to think that bad things could happen with her.

- Yeah, Kou-kun is going to help too. But I didn't mention with them to go earlier to school today, so probably we'll search after school too. So it's okay if you and I search together this morning.

Aoi-chan seemed a little confused, and while we walked through the corridor eating toasts, and me also putting my mermaid costume inside my backpack, she asked.

- I don't get it. So you planned to go earlier to school to search the clock by yourself?

Actually I haven't done many thoughts about it, I just presumed the more time I spent looking for it more chances we had to find it, that was why I decided that. But stopping to think about it, I probably wouldn't be alone, Hanako-kun was 24 hours per day in that school, so we would search together.

As if reading my mind, Aoi-chan smiled gently and started talking even before I could formulate an answer for her question.

- I see, so your crush will be there?

- No! I mean, yes, but it's not like I planned this.

- Really? I don't mind giving you two a little of privacy, I can join you guys at the night search.

I tried to clarify the situation, but Aoi-chan simply put on her shoes and ran off, even leaving her house unlocked. I guess she didn't need to lock it since her mother was home, but still the way she left me so sudden made me angry.

I ran to get to her and sighed tired when we were finally side to side.

- Mou, I don't have all that stamina in morning!

She laughed at me and we kept walking to school, when I remembered what we were talking about in her apartment.

- You are REALLY wrong about it, okay? But anyways, when you see Akane-kun could you explain him the situation and ask him to meet at the lockers?

- Yeah.

- Aoi-chan, do you think this rumor is true?

Of course I knew it was, but I wanted to know my naive friend's opinion.

- Hm, who knows? But it's fun to think it is, isn't that the reason you're setting up all of this?

- Y-yeah, sure.

We separate when we got to the school gate, I waited Aoi-chan disappear while entering the principal building, and went to the old building in order to meet my friend.

Before I even surpassed the hall, I saw familiar spheres floating in a hided corner. I walked to that way, and found Hanako-kun with his eyes closed and laying on the wall next to the stairs that led to the second floor.

I was about to wake him up, but something told me not to. His calm and relaxed face was just something so precious, and even rare I'd say. He was so natural I could almost mistake him for a normal student, even for the human Hanako-kun, the dreamer Amane Yugi.

Without realizing it, I had kneeled and my face was very close to Hanako-kun's, a huge mistake. All of sudden, he opened his eyes and shouted, it seemed like a act for trying to scare me, but by doing that he bowed his neck a little and our heads collapsed.

- Ouch, that hurts!- I said after stepping back while rubbing my head in the place we hit each other, it ached when my fingers landed in the region.

- Oww, same for me. - he said while getting up.

- What was that?

Hanako-kun seemed to forget about the pain and got all excited again.

- I thought you'd fall for it, how was my sleeping act?

- Eh?

He floated around me with an arrogant look

- Ghosts don't sleep, dã - he said as it was the most obvious thing on the world, and I wondered if he hadn't told me that before

- Oh, so you were just trying to trick me?

- Yeah, I saw you coming by the toilet's window and had this great idea. It was just for scaring you off, but you ended up getting to close, and since my eyes were shut I didn't know.

He patted me in the head and caught me in a hug for the back, his face side to side with mine and showing a bright smile. My heart skipped and the beats just kept getting faster, but I didn't understand why. He let go of me and stood in front of me, finally his feet touching the ground.

I was glad he took a distance, this way I could calm down a little bit. I hopped my feelings weren't showing off.

- Why are you at school at this time?

- I thought that maybe we could search for the clock before my classes start, if we're lucky we may find it and don't have to do it again later.

For a second I thought to have seen something pass through Hanako-kun's glare, but his eyes immediately went back to the way they were.

- Where is the kid?

- I didn't call Kou-kun, I didn't think much about this morning

- Hm, let's go then.

He turned around and started floating to the stairs, I had to quicken the pace not to loose him. It may have been my impression cause he was always a few meters in front of me, but I thought to have seen he blushing, and I didn't get the reason. I blushed too, though.
