today's the day...my birthday...

I look at myself in the mirror as I wonder who will be my soulmate.

I've never been in love or never had a boyfriend before.

I look at my arm waiting for some sort of writing to show.

"did you get anything?" my friend Maila said.

"No not yet" I said, in a disappointing low voice.

"It's okay you'll get something soon" Malia said.

I give her a fake smile to hide my disappointment. I've waited almost my whole life for this moment and now I have to wait even more.

"Come on let's get to class" Malia said as she grabs my arm and drags me to class.

While in class, I can't help but to look at my arm, waiting for something to show

Maybe he's busy or maybe he doesn't know what to say?

"Teacher, may I go to the restroom" I say as my hand is raised.

"Yes" , she said.

I got up and left the room and walked towards the nearest bathroom.

I walked into a stall and went to my phone. I didn't need to really go to the restroom, I was just too bored in that classroom.

I looked on snapchat as everyone sent me happy birthday messages.

I look back on my arm...

nothing.

I let out a sigh and put my phone away. I open the stall and walk to the sink.

I look up at the mirror to see my reflection...

My eyes then get drawn towards something written on my forehead.

"Hi"

"What the hell!?" I say in a loud tone.

I grab some paper towels and start to rub the words off my forehead

But... I then realized...it's him.
