"What are you doing here?" I ask sternly. I came home late last night and the last thing I need is a confrontation with, yours truly, Sophia Leon.

"I'm sorry Kelsie Burklin." she says

"Why?", I ask, genuinely curious, "why did you take Kylie's diary"

"I was...I was trying to protect Mason. I know it sounds stupid but I truly do love him and, I already put him in danger by telling you about the Friday night at his party. I took the diary to make sure he wasn't a major suspect, that's all."

"Why should I believe you?", I ask

"You shouldn't. But I'm asking you to. Please?"

For some reason, I believe her. While she tells me all of this she has the same look of sincerity in her eyes as she did that time on the roof and that time at the police station and that time in her car. I can't deny the fact that I've grown a bond with Sophia Leon. One that I never thought would be there but, I'm glad that it is

I reach my hands out to her and pull her into a warm hug.

"Well, now that you forgive me, which I'm glad you do, i should ask, why the hell aren't you ready for the pep rally?", she squeals and pushes past me

We walk up to my room and I start to get changed for the pep rally. I remember hating this dreadful Pep rally that the school held every school year. Kylie and Sophia would always get ready in the room while Ryder and I sat at my side of the bedroom and teased them for going to such a frivolous school event. My, how the tables have turned.

I quickly changed into my outfit for the pep rally and started to put on my makeup while Sophia ran downstairs to make some smoothies for us to take on the road. I suddenly hear my bedroom door open and my brush falls from my hand when I see the reflection of who just walked in.

"Ryder?"

I stand up and watch the expression on her face change as she glares at me from head to toe. "You go to Pep Rally's now?"

"Well...it's just a one time thing. You know, to feel closer to Kylie", I lie

"I can't believe you", she spits, "You are getting completely sidetracked!"

"What the hell are you talking about? I am not", I defended

"Yes you are! And you know why? It's because you keep trying to be Kylie!"
