Kylie's p.o.v
Two Weeks Before The End Of Summer...
I look up at the ceiling and I can feel my warm breath escape my lips. My lips are dry, my body is cold, my hands are shaking and my mind is cloudy....no, clouded. That fits better I think.

I gnawed at my lip and stretched out my arm to reach the envelop on the floor. I traced my finger over the words written on the face of the envelop.

'BURKLIN FAVOR', it wrote.

"Burklin favor", I mumbled underneath my breath, reading it again while I slid my thumb below the flap and pulled out the piece of paper that was in there. It was a thin white piece of A4 paper. But it was possibly the most important piece of paper I'll ever have the privilege of reading. The words were in all black. Except for one name. A name at the bottom. The name, Ashley Keller.

I chewed at my lip harder to distract myself from the tears that were about to break loose. Before I even realized, my lip started to bleed and a drop of blood fell onto the paper. Right at the bottom. Next to her name.

Damn, I have a twin sister?

My phone starts to ring and when I pick up, it's Maya.

"Hey", she says

"Hi", I choke. Trying my hardest not to cry

"Was the favor worth asking for?"

I pause to think about it for a sec

"I don't know yet"

".... I know you're not talking to Noah anymore for whatever reason but, he's having a few friends over at his house in about an hour and I think we should go."

I sigh. I don't really feel like being at a party right now.

"Ky?"

"I'm still here", I whisper

"Please just stop by at least. For me?"

It doesn't change anything even though she says "for me" but at the same time, I still have a lot on my mind right now and a few drinks would help to get them out, which is just what I need right now

"Okay. I'll meet you there in 30"

When I hang up I immediately place the piece of paper and envelop in one of my shoe boxes and put it on the bottom of my shoe rack. Nobody ever suspects something if you hide it in plain sight.

I changed out of my pajama pants and threw on some blue jeans and paired it with a light sweater, the t-shirt I was wearing already and some white converse.

When I finally got to Noah's house, I couldn't help but feel a bit awkward. We had just fought like two days ago and this would be the first time we see each other afterwards. There's really no way to understand how uncomfortable the entire situation is unless you're in it yourself.
