Stitches;
Sam was staring at the new pair of shoes he has bought from his favorite store. When Darin came into his room and noticed the new pair of shoes his brother has bought he asked, his pupils dilating: "what are those? "
"They're new, I bought them yesterday. I have been waiting for them for months" Sam answered, trying to hide them from his brother but it was too late, Darin held the pair of shoes in his hands and he seemed to be interested in them a lot.
"Can I wear these? Tomorrow I have a date" Darin said.
Sam sighed; " I'm sorry bro, I love these shoes a lot, don't touch them please!"
Darin frowned; "what the fuck, what have I done, I'm just looking at them!" he cried out.
Sam said, annoyed, imitating his brother "What the fuck..."
Darin flared at Sam and slammed the door of the room shut, making the already broken window of Sam's room break a little bit more.
The emotions of Sam were a mixture of fear and love and guilt. But other than these, he felt rage. He heard his brother bawl loudly in the other room, and that made him feel extremely guilty. He wondered if he should go and apologize... But knowing his brother he knew Darin would make a big deal out of it. Although... He still wanted to go and take his shoes to him and tell him to wear them and comfort him, because after all he was the older brother. Maybe he should have felt more responsible. Just when he was about to get up Darin came into his room holding pieces of clothes in his hands, and threw them at Sam's face.
Sam looked at the pieces in front of him and took him a while to figure out it was the coat he had given to Darin a long time ago. When Darin was shivering cold during the snowing of the previous year, and Sam gave him this coat although it was very precious to him.
"Is this my girl's coat?" his hands were shaking as he was holding the pieces of the coat in his hands. "Is this Gardenia's coat? Who gave you the right to tear it?" he asked his brother, but when he looked up Darin was already gone. After a while his father called him to the living room. Sam went to the room with one of the pieces of the coat in his hand and a tear drop on his cheek. His dad was reading newspaper when Sam entered the room, he put the newspaper aside and sighed when he saw his son.
"Darin was here a few seconds before you come," his father said, "he told me about your irresponsible behavior! Are a pair of shoes worth hurting your younger brother? Have I not taught you that older people are supposed to make bigger sacrifices? When will you learn! You are not allowed to come out of your room until I say so!"
Sam went back to his room, after his mom brought him some fruits and he was getting himself busy and distracted... He was thinking to himself... How should this story end.
So dear friends, how you think it should end?
THE END...
