The forest smelt different more of a mixture between rain fall and death. Maybe I would have seen it coming back than but than of course I was only ten and my twin brother and I were too worried that our mum was going to lay into us for having missed the set time of supper once again. I remember my calves were on fire for how hard I was pumping my legs racing James back to our small cottage in the middle of the opening. My long honey dew brown locks whipped in the wind from the speed I was going as I could hear James' taunts from behind me how he was catching up. Pushing my self harder until I felt like my legs were going to fall off and my lungs collapse I slid into the opening not really taking note that our front door was wide open and my life was about to change completely. Bursting into the open front door I froze in fear as my dark midnight ocean blue eyes drank in the horrid scene. Frozen in fear I hadn't even noticed my twin brother hollering at me. Blood splattered across the wall and floor claw marks on the door frame and floor boards of my living room I slowly walked further into my home. My heart was beating so loud in my ears as I looked off into the open kitchen where I had expected my mother to be ranting and raving about how they spent too much time in the forest like animals. At first it was too dim in the house looking for the light switch with my trembling hands I flipped it on to see my mother's body on the ground. Dropping to my knees I crawled over to her bloody body. In the distance I heard someone making funny gasping noises to only realize later that it was me choking on my sobs. "M.....mom," my lip quivered uncontrollably as my voice squeaked with fright. A thud in the living room drew my attention away from my mother as I saw my twin James up against the wall a look of horror twisted his chubby face. Getting to my feet my knees shook as I tried wiping away the tears that threatened to obscure my vision. "James?," my voice was barely above a whisper as the color in my brother's face drained, lifting a shaking hand he pointed into the hall way. Grabbing a flash light out of one of the cabinets I slowly made my way to him. Turning the flash light on I tried to force down the lump in my throat by swallowing. There in the hall way laid a big black half from beast that had a large sharp teeth like a wolf but the face of their father. A blood curdling scream parted my lips as I dropped the flashlight to the floor with a loud clank. Turning at the the sound of laughter I saw a flash of silver and a searing hot pain shot in my left side...

Jolting awake I could feel my heart racing from the same nightmare that haunted me for the last twelve years. Always the scene of my parents being murdered and me being stabbed by a silver knife. I never made it past the part of me being stabbed since the pain always seemed to be so real to me that I would jolt awake though I knew how the dream ended with me passing out from the loss of blood and my twin brother being so furious that it awoke the Lycan gene in him and he ripped my mother and father's murder apart and than carried me into the night after burning our home cottage to the ground. Placing a shake hand on my galloping heart I took a breath. My bedroom door flew open as my twin brother stared at me with his light blue eyes, they were filled with fear as I held up my hand that had been on my heart. "I am okay James... Just a nightmare sorry to wake you up go back to sleep," I managed to steady my voice and watched him rub his eyes with a sigh of defeat he turned and shut the door. Even though my brother was six three and built like a male model with a side of body builder he always seemed to look so small and frightened when he thought something was wrong with me. Pushing a frustrated hand into my long honey dew locks I leaned against my head board and tried to calm down enough to go back to sleep but with this nightmare from hell haunting my every moment of sleep how was a girl suppose to calm down?? Sighing softly I closed my eyes and sent a silent prayer up to any of the Gods listening to me. Sliding back under my thick covers I laid my head back on my pillow and waited for sleep to claim me once again.
