The sound of dawn woke me up, birds chirping and crickets rubbing their legs together creating their music. My body groaned with exhaustion and my eyes ached from the lack of sleep, I just wanted to be able to sleep for a solid six hours and I can't even give my poor body that. After the nightmare from hell that seems to play repeat every night, everytime I drifted to sleep my past haunts me.Forcing myself to sit up I rubbed the sleepiness from my eyes and got out of bed. Grabbing my black silk rob I wrapped i around my body since I only slept in a sports bra and boy shorts half the time from always have night swets from my dreams. I made my way down the small narrow hallway and pushed open the kitchen door, I knew I still had a few hours to myself before James would wake up so I turned on the coffee and did my morning ritual, brushed my teeth, combed my hair and waited for the coffee to finish brewing. Since the night of our parents murder James refused to stay any where for no longer than a year and right now we were in some little hick town down in Alabama, we had been here about two months so far and all the girls seemed to flock to our door step with some type of casaroll or desert hoping to catch my twin brother shirtless or just at home. Me on the other hand I hated the attention that I drew towards me, I couldn't go to the grocery store without some cowboy trying to drop a pick up line at me. I wasn't exactly ugly I mean call me cocky but I looked a lot similar to Jennifer Lawrence but I had my own flare of sexiness I guess you could say. Taking a coffee cup out of the cabinet I filled it up and put in my creamer and sugar, stirred a few times than took a small sip since it was still steaming hot. Sighing softly I sunk into my chair at the island and turned on the tv that sat on the other side of kitchen, flipping through the channels not really paying attention until I passed the news. Something caught my eye as I flipped it back, across the screen it said 'teen found mauled by animal, town in a panic.' "What the fuck..." setting my mug down I hollered from my brother who didn't respond at first but than I heard his footsteps coming down the stairs as he pushed open the kitchen door and stared at me with blood shot eyes. "Christ Cammy what are you hollering for at..." squinting his eyes until he saw that it was only five thirty in the morning he glared at me. "Why the hell are you hollering at five in the morning Camille?!" He tone was deep the sound used to make me cringe but now I was used to the deep rattle that usually only came from animals growling. I simply just pointed to the tv and turned up the volume as a news caster laid out the details of what the police had found. The woman's voice filled the kitchen as we both sat quietly, "Police say that a hiker discovered the body of a local teen in the woods. Teens indentity still unknown to the police and at the time the police chief is claiming no comment besides for local hunters and any one else to stay out of the woods and in their homes." Muting the tv my eye brow raised I looked at my bother waiting for him to say something, instead he just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. "Come on JC you don't find it a little odd that being here for only two months and mysteriously a kid gets attacked by an unknown animal?!" James just mumbled something she couldn't understand but before she could say something he was already half way up the stairs without even making a sound. Groaning I laid my head on the island as the annoyance of my borhter's dismissle filled my body. I began to shake as my well manicured nails morphed into long sharp black claws than back to normal. Taking a shaky breath I rolled my shoulders out to try taking another swig of my coffee.

A few hours later I had gotten dressed in jean shorts my running shoes and a black tank top, I made sure to leave a note for James to tell him that I had gone for a jog while he was in the shower. Pulling my hair into a tight pony tail I started off at an easy pace with my normal route around the large cul de sac that we lived in. I made it half way around which was about two miles when I got this strange feeling that someone was watching me. My lycan genes started to kick in since I was used to being the hunter not the hunted. Pumping my legs faster I picked up speed, nearing the woods that I usually ran through to keep my fluid in my movements along with agile but I skidded to a stopped when the tension inside me built up. Twisting and turning I checked to see if any one was around but I hadn't seen a single person. Tilting my head up towards the sun I inhaled, I smelled death and another strange scent that I had never smelt before. What the hell was going on.... My mind was racing and I knew I had to keep myself calm or I was going to go on defense mode and that wouldn't be good at all. Clenching and unclenching my fist, I took a few calming breaths and closed my eyes to see if I could feel anything that was off. I was starting to sense something but felt a hand clamp around my shoulder. Gasping I turned around my eyes flying open with shock to meet the face of a stranger. He was tall and handsome his cheek and jawline strong and his hair was a reddish brown and fell shaggy just above his magnificent green gems for eyes. "What the hell!?" I snapped at the guy as he still had a hold of my shoulder. Shaking it off I took a step back since he was only inches from my face. "Pardon me ma'am I was just seeing if you were okay, you had your eyes close and were swaying like you were about to pass out." His voice was deep and strong and for some reason sent shivers done her spine. "I'm... I am fine!!" The handsome stranger nodded in acceptance placed his hands behind his back, turned and walked away. It took me a moment but than I finally realized that, that stranger was wearing a five hundred dollar tailored suit. For some reason I knew that I was going to see that man again and I wasn't sure if I was at all excited for my next encounter with him, but I know for one thing it stirred emotions in myself and my wolf. I could hear her purr with excitement just thinking about seeing him again.
