"So, what're we gonna do today?" Bunga asked, laying on Kion's back. "We could go down to the waterhole." Beshte suggested. "Well we did that yesterday.." Ono started. "Yeah, and after what happened to Fuli, I don't think that'd be a great idea." Kion added.
Flashback
"Over here Fuli!" Bunga yelled mockingly as he ran away with the baobab fruit. "I got it!" Kion yelled as he jumped out of the tall grass towards Bunga. Unfortunately for him, Bunga jumped out of the way and Kion rammed right into Fuli sending them tumbling down the hill. Kion landed on his stomach while Fuli fell right into the waterhole. Kion stood up and stared at Fuli as she submerged from the water, an annoyed look on her face. Kion just stared before he blinked twice and burst out laughing. As the others came down they saw laughing Kion and a wet and annoyed Fuli. They all had joined in on the laughing. Fuli just rolled her eyes and got out of the water and shook her fur, splashing Kion. He shook his fur too and Fuli and Kion now looked like giant cotton balls. "AHAHAHAHA! YOU LOOK LIKE FLUFF BALLS!" Bunga blurted out, barely able to speak because of the laughing. Kion and Fuli just groaned as the others just laughed.
Present Day
"Yea, I did not enjoy that." Fuli said rolling her eyes at the memory. "Well how about we just stay in the lair then." Kion said, earning stares from everyone, "What? We always go out. How about we just stay here and play Truth or Dare or something?" "Sounds good to me." Beshte said, giving his golden lion leader a smile. "Yeah! Truth or Dare!" Bunga shouted, hopping off of Kion and jumping around. "Okay then, it's settled." Ono said, perched in his nest in a crack in the wall. "I'll go first, Bunga, truth or dare?" Fuli asked, a mischievous smirk on her face. "As the bravest, bring on your best dare!" Bunga said, confidently. "I dare you to eat no bugs for three days." Fuli said. "WHAT?! BUT-BUT! MY PRECIOUS GRUBS!" Bunga shouted, shocked even. "Thanks, Fuli." Ono and Kion said in unison, happy they don't have to watch Bunga eat his grubs. Bunga just grumbled before a smirk appeared on his face, "Alrighty then, Fuli. Truth or Dare..?" "Dare." She responded. "I dare you to lick Kion." Bunga said, as he then laughed. "What?! Why drag me into this?!" Kion said, his cheeks redder then his mane. "Because. We all see how you guys are always standing next to each other on patrol." Ono said. "But that doesn't mean what you think it means! Besides, we don't try to!" Fuli protested, blushing as well. "Well you gotta do the dare, unless you wanna see me eat some grubs." Bunga said, his hands on his hips. Fuli sighed before walking over to Kion and putting her paws on his cheeks, pulling him closer to her and giving him a long lick on his nose. Soon, giggling could be heard at the entrance. It was Kiara, Kion's older sister. "K-Kiara, how long were you there.." Kion said, blushing even harder as Fuli backed away quickly. "Long enough to see what you guys should've gotten another cave for." Kiara responded, while walking inside the Lair. "Kiara-" Kion started before he was cut off by his older, soon-to-be-queen sister, "Don't worry, I won't tell dad, or Tiffu, or Zuri. But I will tell mom." "Kiara!" Kion said, growing annoyed. "What? Mom won't tell anyone." Kiara responded. "Guess this really was a game of Truth or Dare." Beshte said as they all laughed and continued to play Truth Or Dare. Soon afterwards, Fuli fell asleep on Kion's shoulder and began to purr. "What is that sound?" Bunga asked. "That's Fuli. Cheetahs purr when their happy or sleeping. In this case, sleeping." Ono answered. "Can lions purr?" Beshte asked. "I dunno. Kion?" Bunga asked as they all looked towards the golden prince. Kion attempted to purr, but it came out as a growl. The more he tried to purr, the more growling sounds came out. "Guess that answers our question." Bunga said. Fuli then woke up from all Kion's growling. "Clearly Kion cannot purr." Kiara said, giggling. "What's with all the growling..?" Fuli said, drowsily leaning off Kion's shoulder. "Kion tried to purr and it didn't work." Kiara said, finally bursting out laughing. "I'd like to see you try to purr, Kiara!" Kion said, this time intentionally growling. "Alrighty then." Kiara said before trying to purr, but she too made a growling sound. "Looks like Kiara, future queen of the Pride Lands can't purr either. She's probably gonna mess up the whole Pride Lands too. I can just see it now, there goes the waterhole!" Kion said, earning a growl from Kiara. "Haha! Bye-bye Pride Rock!" Kion said, a slug look on his face. Kiara finally had enough and chased her brother out of the lair. "Can't catch me! I run with Fuli everyday!" Kion confidentially said as he ran ahead. "Is that why she licked your nose, little brother?" Kiara shouted back as she smirked, still running. This caused Kion to pause in his tracks. Kiara took this as an advantage and pounced on her brother's back, pinning him down. "What were you saying about I can't catch you?" Kiara said, looking down at her brother. "Yeah, yeah. Now get off!" Kion said pulling himself up. "Fine." Kiara said hopping off; but just as she did, a mysterious lion, one that looked like it was from a place beyond the Outlands, snatched Kiara and headed for the gorge. "Hey! Claws off the future Queen!" Kion yelled as he chased after them. "Kion! Help!" Kiara squealed as she struggled to break free. "I'm trying!" Kion said as he pushed himself to go faster. They made it to the gorge and the mysterious lion turned around and dropped Kiara on the ground shoving her over as she held on for dear life. "Kiara!" Kion yelled, retracting his claws. "What are you gonna do cub? Attack me?" The mysterious lion teased. "That's exactly what I'm gonna do." Kion answered, lunging towards the lion. It was a claw-to-claw battle, but each teenage lion did not back down, regardless of their bleeding injuries or bruises. "Kion! I'm slipping!" Kiara said, visibly slipping. Kion didn't know what to do, until he got a bright idea. "Why don't I just bring you to my dad, Simba?" Kion said as the lion gave a terrified look. "S-Simba?" He asked. "Exactly." Kion responded. "Y-Your Simba's son..? U-uh.. I gotta go! Bye!" The lion ran off. Kion pulled Kiara up and made sure she was no where near the edge, but never made sure he was in a safe spot also. "Thanks Kion." Kiara said, tired from the hanging on. "Anytime Kiara." Kion replied. "I owe you. I really do. I won't tell mom about what happened in the lair." Kiara said, patting her brother on the shoulder. Unfortunately, Kion was close enough to the edge that the pat made him lose his balance and plummet to the ground, screaming as the ground got closer faster and faster. "Kion!" Kiara said, tears forming in her eyes as she ran to get the remaining members of the Guard; but she was barely able as she had been training all day, not to mention hanging on for dear life. "Lion Guard! Lion... Guard!" Kiara said as she rushed into the Lair. "Kiara?! What's wrong?! Where's Kion?!" Fuli asked running up to her. "Mysterious lion.. attacked.... he shoved.. -me.. Kion he... gorge.. He f-" Kiara passed out from overworking herself. "Okay then.. Beshte, take Kiara to Rafiki, the rest of you, with me!" Fuli said. She knew how to lead the Guard when Kion was unable to. She had also gotten a lot of practice when they were on the way to the Tree of Life. "Got it, Fuli!" Beshte saluted as he brought Kiara to Rafiki. When the rest of them reached the gorge half an hour later, they found nothing. "Ono, see if you can see anything in the gorge," Fuli said. "Affirmative," Ono said flying up and investigating, "Hapana! I see loads of rock and Kion! He looks unconscious!" "It must've been that mysterious lion Kiara was mumbling about," Bunga said as they headed down the gorge. "He has claw and bite marks all over him, he must've been fighting someone. I also saw some claw marks at the top of the gorge." Ono reported. "We gotta get him back, I can carry him." Fuli said, lowering herself. "I'll load him on ya!" Bunga said as he attempted to lift Kion, "Whoa! Kion weighs a lot!" "Well a lion paw weighs about 4 to 5 pounds. And a full grown adult male weighs 420 pounds." Ono said. (PAUSE! Reality check! If a lion just, with barely any effort, attempted to hit your hand but missed and hit your head, it'd most like BREAK YOUR NECK! With a single swat they deliver 400 POUNDS of force. That's a lot! So all those times Kion hit Janja, sheesh! That's one lucky hyena!) "Well Kion's not an adult yet, but we're still gonna get him back." Fuli inquired. About half an hour of lifting Kion out of the gorge, and an hour later of taking him back to Pride Rock, Rafiki was able to aid the two young cubs and made them rest for the rest of the day, declaring they could not leave Pride Rock for a week for Kion, and for Kiara, about two days. "Thank you again, Lion Guard." Simba said. "It was our honor your majesty." Fuli said. "We were happy to help." Ono added. "Come on, let's go play some more Truth or Dare in the Lair!" Bunga said, pushing the others along.
In the Lair
"You guys think Kion's gonna be okay?" Beshte said, resting in his pool of water. "Sure he will, Big B, he's Kion!" Bunga said, sitting on Beshte's back. "Bunga's right. I think Rafiki knows what he's doing." Ono added. "Something Kiara said got me thinking, she mentioned something about a mysterious lion." Fuli said. "Pay no mind to it Fuli! Accidents Happen." Bunga ensured his feline friend.
Meanwhile Somewhere Beyond the Outlands
"Did you get the girl?" A voice asked as the mysterious lion returned, "Did you?" "No, I wasn't able to. Another lion appeared; he had the Mark of the Guard and a scar across his eye. And he turned out to be Simba's other cub. I knew I had no chance. So I had to act as if I was going to throw her over the gorge so he wouldn't follow me here." The mysterious lion responded. "Well, looks like we need a new plan to take down the Pride Lands.." The voice said, sighing.
