"I can hear a vehicle approaching" Emily whispered to Frets who was asleep with his arms wrapped around her. "Would you wake and listen?" She said nudging him with her elbow.
"I stay awake at night to make sure you're safe, do I have to babysit you during the day too?"
"Stop saying silly things and listen, a vehicle is approaching"
Frets got up reluctantly but his eyes widened immediately he heard the sound of the vehicle. He looked out of the window to see a white sedan approaching the house; the car stopped as soon as it got to the parking space and a red-haired young woman alighted.
"Stay here while I go out to find out who it is".
Frets approached the lady as she popped open the trunk of the car and brought out some luggage.
"Hi___ errrm___" he stuttered with hands in his pockets. "Who are___" Frets stopped talking, those green eyes looked really familiar.
"You were saying?"
"I was just welcoming you back home, I've been waiting for your return"
"Sorry, do I know you?"
"Not exactly but__"
"What's going on there? Who's she?" Emily called out.
"Come see for yourself, I'm kinda confused."
Emily jogged to the scene and stopped when she saw red-hair. " Brina__ what happened to you? Where have you been? I've been so worried" Emily said and hugged her tightly.
Sabrina looked at Emily and then turned back to Frets, "What's going on here? Who's he?"
"Well, this is Frets and we've been searching for you together.
"I wasn't missing___"
" What happened to your hair?" Emily asked cutting short her words and touching her hair.
"Give me a break, you ask a lot of questions" Sabrina replied and dragged her suitcase towards the house.
Emily looked at her in surprise and shifted her focus to Frets who equally looked surprised. "You missed out on the fact that she was rude and uncultured," he said.
"She isn't, I think she's upset about something and I'll find out what it is.
Emily ran after Sabrina and eventually caught up with her.
"What's making you upset? You just got back and I barely recognise you. "What's with the attitude?"
"I just got back to meet you waiting with questions and a stranger. Is he your boyfriend or something because I don't understand why you'll bring a stranger into my house"
Emily took Sabrina's luggage and walked with her towards the house. "He's not her stranger, he's a friend and he's been of help. I couldn't handle your sudden disappearance alone. It was a lot to handle"
