Win didn't expect that he'd be doing his first medical treatment on Bright when they reached home. Bright removes his shirt and take a good look at his arm that got scratched or bitten, he wasn't sure but he knows that the cut was deep.
Win takes a cotton ball and drench it with alcohol. "Uh. This is going to hurt." Win warns before he starts dabbing onto the wound.
"I've been through worse." Bright answers as he wince slightly at the pain.
"Sorry!" Win apologizes.
"Just hurry up and do it." Bright says as he grits his teeth, trying to hold in the stinging pain. Just as Win reaches for the gauze, Jimmy comes by to check on the situation.
"I think those need stitches." Jimmy says. "It's kinda deep."
"You could have said that before he puts the alcohol." Win squints his eyes at the taller boy.
"Well, at least he's cleaning the wound for me." Jimmy replies. "I'll take it from here Win. I asks Tommy to go take a shower then head off to bed. You should probably do that too."
Win nods. "O-Okay." He got off the sofa and heads to his room. Jimmy sits where Win was and searches the kit for a needle and a thread. Jimmy puts the thread through the needle and wets it with alcohol.
"Bite on your shirt. It's going to hurt like hell." Jimmy warns Bright.
"I can take it. No worries." Bright nods arrogantly at Jimmy.
"Sure. The last time I did it, you nearly bit your tongue off. Now go and bite your shirt." Jimmy warns once more.
"Fine." Bright takes his shirt and bites on it. He watches as Jimmy puts the needle through his skin. He was right, it hurts a hell lot and worse when Jimmy pulls the thread. He wanted to scream his lungs off but he trying his best not to.
It was an agonizing moment for Bright and once Jimmy is done, he spit the shirt out of his mouth and curses out loud. "That hurt like crap."
"Told you." Jimmy says as he puts the gauze over the wound and covers it with a waterproof tape.
Bright notices that he was quiet while doing his stitching. Usually comment about how much stitching he's done on other people and some medical talk that Bright couldn't care about. Even while keeping his supplies, Jimmy was still quiet instead of telling him how to take care of it.
"Jimmy, you alright?" Bright asks.
"Huh?" Jimmy looks at Bright. "Uh. I think so."
"What's up?" Bright asks as he looks at his new patch on his arm.
"Don't you think it's weird that Tommy knows the soft spot for the dog while we don't? You're a first class military, or used to be, and you don't even know where the soft spot of that creature is." Jimmy says out his mind.
"The creatures I usually take on wasn't mutated guard dogs. That's why I don't know where their soft spot is. I doubt anybody would unless they handle them closely." Bright explains. "Maybe Tommy has experience with them? I mean Tommy is a slave. He might have experience with such creatures because he has to feed them or something."
"I guess you're right." Jimmy says. Then the look on Tommy's face when they were in the car talking about their past, flashes into Jimmy's mind. He don't know Tommy's past and he didn't think he should pry into it.
"With that look, there's some more isn't there?" Bright asks as he sees the worrisome look on Jimmy's face.
"I'll just leave that for some other time. It's going to be sun rise soon we have yet to get some sleep." Jimmy says. "Not to mention that we got to meet Gulf tomorrow for our payment later."
