I was at the beach with Leila, Olivia, and the boys. Spencer still wouldn't talk to me. So I decided to take the chance of seeing if Spencer would talk to me.
"I'm gonna go see if Spencer will talk to me," I say to Leila and Olivia.
"Be careful," Leila says.
"Good luck," Olivia says. I stand up and walk over to Jordan and Spencer. They were talking so I politely decided to wait.
"Nice grab," Jordan says to Spencer.
"That was some serious spin on that throw," Spencer says before looking around the beach. "Man, we don't practice like this in Crenshaw, I'll tell you that."
"Well, we like a good re-gen day, you know, team bonding," Jordan says. This isn't team bonding. Asher wouldn't stop giving Spencer the death glare.
"You sure about that?" Spencer asks Jordan. Jordan looks at Spencer in confusion. "I mean, we got Hawthorne this week, and let me tell you, them dogs bite." Jordan nods as he figures out what Spencer was talking about.
"Come on, trust me," Jordan says. Again with the trust me stuff. "Hawthorne won't know what hit 'em this week." Jordan looks over at JJ. "Ain't that right, JJ?"
"Oh, you know that's right!" JJ yells he walks over to us. I realized this was my moment to get Spencer to talk to me.
"Hey, Spencer. Could I talk to you for a second?" I ask Spencer. Spencer looks at me.
"Yeah," Spencer says. We walk away from the group and go to a quieter spot. Spencer's eyes widen in shock as he sees my bikini. I suddenly felt self-conscious about what I was wearing.
"I'm sorry that I didn't tell you. I should have told you when I found out," I say.
"It's alright. I forgive you," Spencer says.
"Okay. I have to go home to go get ready for the Booster Club party. I guess I'll see you then right?" I ask Spencer.
"Yeah, of course," Spencer says. I go back over to Leila and grab my sweatshirt and put it on. I slip on my sandals.
"I'll see you two tonight," I say to Leila and Olivia as I grab my phone, my purse, and my towel. I walk off the beach and over to my car.
