This is what I put on insta and yes Phoenix's mom after he was born was executed by her own kind because of hate and fear which add to the fact Herobrine doesn't really like his deceased fiance's kind he still loved her due to her understanding him bun now Herobrine has to raise Phoenix [which in this AU is Steve] by himself with anger and wanting to kill all humans and doesn't want his son to suffer.
Herobrine does not even allow mobs to babysit Phoenix... he is way too overprotective because of the events...
Though the two pictures I drew of Phoenix and Herobrine are when Phoenix was a child he's a young adult now but I can't help but draw him as a kid...
